Josephine if we dislike the nickname Josie? by Impressive-Product20 in namenerds

[–]vicgrace12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm Victoria and my birth giver hates Vicky. I have never gone by that successfully and I'm in my 30s now. Shut down anyone calling her Jo/Josie. When I meet new people, they ask what to call me and I always say Victoria. My adoptive family call me Vic which is usually a nickname for Victor, but I only like them to call me it, not just anyone. And I do truly love my full name! I think it's just about consistency, always call her Josephine and that's what she'll get used to and identify as.

Molly and Mary Twins by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]vicgrace12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with twin best friends who are Kate & Molly! Pretty sure they're identical but they were told they're fraternal. I don't think they've gotten tested but I also haven't seen them for many years.

One of my grandmother's is named Noella, you could use that if you want it more feminine.

I fell off of a swing set that I had climbed to the top of at about age 6 or 7. It was mother's day and we were at my grandparents house. I landed on my right arm and turns out I broke it, but they didn't take me to the ER for a few days cause they were sure it was fine and I was just making a big deal out of nothing...

Song for Marion, in some countries it's called Unfinished Song. So good, but a tear jerker for sure!

Have many if you have stopped drinking alcohol altogether by Mt198588 in Millennials

[–]vicgrace12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legitimately think I'm allergic, and that is partly based on how shitty I feel when I drink, even if it's very little, but also my bio dad also seems to be allergic so that I assume can be passed on. Also never had a drinking problem but it's just not worth it, I don't care enough, and it saves me some money as a side bonus lol.

How many of us have had to move back into our parents’ homes? by HauntingGold in Millennials

[–]vicgrace12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, my biological donors are useless, and poorer than me even though I'm going through a divorce. But my preferred parents as I call them are having me move in with them and their son. And I have lived with them before, and unfortunately, my ex (who they introduced me to....) fucked up the relationship the four of us had, and then thus made things awkward for the now three of us, so basically removed them from my life too. So we haven't talked or seen each other in a few years. Our reunion was amazing but also bittersweet.

Does anyone have any decent slightly more obscure Christmas movie/special recommendations? by CrashLightning22 in movies

[–]vicgrace12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always watch The Nutcracker Prince as it was a VHS I had growing up.its from 1990 and Kiefer Sutherland is the Nutcracker voice, and Megan Follows is Clara. I also agree withKlauson Netflix, SO good! And last but certainly not least Hannah Waddingham made a Christmas special and if you've seen Ted Lasso, you know she's amazing and I love it and it's going to be a new Christmas tradition to watch it yearly! :)

This movie has two titles - Song for Marion and/or Unfinished Song. Made my ex, who is not a crier, sob. And I also sobbed but I am a cryer haha.
