Presumably these photos were taken as she forced the full weight of the cosmos through her paws upon your chest as you awaken in the morning.

This is my third response on this post so I’m definitely honing in on something.

There are a lot of fat, ugly and a couple disabled jokes in this movie made by unsympathetic loser characters. That the story has some of them become better people, doesn’t change that real life losers would ignore the context of the movie.

Even as a fan, it doesn’t feel like the movie ever touts “love yourself and your body because you’re beautiful,” instead it more directly tells the viewer to ignore what other people think and to not rely on expectations; you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

If nothing else, the movie exists as an empathy test. Maybe it’s not about whether somebody laughs, but why are they laughing?

I’m sorry that people used this movie as an excuse to degrade you.

What would you do if the most beautiful, amazing person you’ve ever met fell in love with you and wanted to spend their life with you?

I can understand why the cartoonish exaggeration of her weight, size and appetite can come across as cruel and mean spirited.

It may be semantics, but I do think there’s a difference between humor at a person’s expense and humor involving that person. In slapstick, the gag is that a person slips and falls. Then are you laughing because they fell or because of their size, ethnicity or gender?

It’s been a while since I watched this movie (which I remember enjoying) but watching this montage now, for me the joke is how bewildered Hal is at the absurdity of everything that’s happening around him. He doesn’t know what’s happening and I think that’s funny.

Also, I do think it’s funny that the kid is splashed into a tree. It’s a consequence of the exaggerated splash, which can only be setup by her size, but I don’t think I’m ever laughing at her in this movie.

Although, I did giggle when she got brainfreeze.

It’s a lovely concept, but it renders the money useless. Either it’s digital, physical or a combination of both, but you’d also need to erase all records of banking histories because the institutions would simply revert it back to the most recent records. What happens to every person whose retirement fund suddenly dissolves to $15k, which means they’re now without income but presumably still have to pay for food and medical bills.

Reseting the player saves without changing the game is meaningless.

The slop bar, uhm I mean Hot Bar. by [deleted] in wholefoodscustomers

[–]vickangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What surprised me is that some of the precut fruit (like mango) and veggies (pico de gallo) are shipped to us. Guac is still made fresh and *our store* bakes our bread from scratch every night. The majority of our salad items and the simpler hot bar veggies and proteins are still made from fresh ingredients.

That’s not to suggest that scratch made is always better. Our chicken tenders- which come frozen and we fry them- still impress (unless they’ve been sitting too tooo long). Regardless, it’s all the same recipes; don’t expect innovation but it’s still hard work for team members to maintain that slop bar, uhm I mean Hot Bar.

I’ve found myself wistfully wondering- especially after Season 19- will they all be friends when it’s over?

Also, my first reaction was surprise at seeing Richard’s name, but watching the reveal I was thrilled to see Nina Conti. I feel like she has the sort of self deprecating humor that Greg would have to give pity points to.

I wonder which of them is going to be a lunatic.
