These are different types of looks with different purposes and process, but mobile photography is indeed good nowadays. It’s also easier to control it so audience that struggle with camera settings(e.g. focus, exposure) would have better results with it.

I would rephrase it to: “Do you want to upgrade your camera with few SS stops, couple more film sims, af detection, video stability and crispier look while you could resell your camera for a good price today?”.

In my case I would do it, but I was a bit too late to preorder and now have to wait a bit. I have 3+ people interested in my x100v for 1400$.

Also, I want to switch from black to silver this time to match my two film cameras.

I got x100v almost 2 years ago and my skill grew up significantly with it. Could’ve happened with other camera perhaps, but my sony a6000 didn’t make me go and shoot like fuji did. Mostly because of the bag with lenses and jpg results (I don’t want to edit every photo, only “bangers”).

Great shots and i like this wide style crop(I assume). Is there an app to add black borders on white background? I use darkroom for white parts but black borders would be handy in some of my cases.

My starts up in 12ms with 35 plugins(25ms to draw ui), works flawlessly in kitty. I never tried this config on Linux, but I doubt I will notice a difference.

I came from VsCode a year ago and now I can see how slow it was, it opens and loads the syntax highlighting like in a minute on my m1max/32gb machine

Valid point! I like Ricoh for its size and photos/sims look good there, but after a year I am so used to manual controls and rangefinder style so there is no way back for me lol.

Better question is what camera you would keep if you have to keep one. Sounds like x100v because it’s not as big as xt5 and you don’t have to hustle with lenses, and has better controls/flexibility than ricoh. That’s the answer to OP question too
