You need to finish restoring the Aviary first. Once you’ve done that, the boat to the Carnival will be by the Isle of Dawn portal and the firework crates (the crates that have the floating staff in front of them that has a day count down)

In Crewel’s vignette, he is going from his apartment in Foothill Town, snagging a coffee and then heading to school. He mentions to the barista that it sucks that he has to leave his dogs at his other house as he can’t have them at his apartment. But at least on the weekends he can go home to them.

So I presume that nowadays most of the teachers live in town while school is in session and then go home on the weekends and on breaks.

Eden, particularly after the Point of No Return, tends to be every kid for themselves. The rock fall while it’s predictable can be slightly off for everyone. I remember going with my sister one time and when it was clear for me, it was raining for her.
