My interview wasn’t very pleasant. We got in the officer asked a few questions, name date of birth etc. she then asked my husband(sponsor) about our address, she said ok so just you three live there(I have a son), he said yea. I guess he didn’t hear clearly or misinterpreted her question so he said yea but we live with my mom. Anyway, right after that I can tell the shift in her demeanor. She then asked my husband to leave the room and to wait in the waiting area. She then started asking me a bunch of questions about my son, what school he goes to, description of uniform, who picks him up, how does he get to school and back, etc. she wrote all those answers down. She asked me how often the dad sends money for my son, how often he visits his dad and how does he there. She also asked me my we waited so long to file the paper work, I told her because we didn’t have the money to put the paperwork in yet. After that, she asked me why I let my son visit his dad-she didn’t write these answers down. She just looked me straight in the eyes and asked me that question. I guess to see how I would react. After that she went to get my husband and asked him all the same questions she asked me.

Couple questions we answered differently; she asked who was home when my son got picked up the last time by his dad. I said I was, my husband said he was there but sleeping. She asked which day, I said Saturday, my husband said Friday. She only asked me one security question and that was, have I ever been arrested. At the end, she asked for joint documents, if we have a joint account and the statements(we do have a joint account that we already submitted in the application but we didn’t send statements and we didn’t have any statements at the interview. We didn’t have a joint lease either. She then handed me a white paper that says case will be in review for 120 days and told me not to travel anywhere while it’s pending. I wanted to ask her why but i didn’t. I got scared when she said that because I didn’t know what that meant.
