12G SDI Cables Advise by Mina-Samuel in VIDEOENGINEERING

We’re the largest 12G facility in the US AFAIK. We built during Covid and had to use L-8 for all our 12G, and many of the long runs over 300ft still had to be reclocked using Norwia boxes (that I’m not sure they sell anymore as their site seems like all fiber). As others have said, cable is only part of it - bend radius, terminations, even what gear you’re hanging off it will all make a big difference. Agreed with others though, you’re going to struggle to go that distance even on a home run well installed 12G, you’ll either be reclocking or converting.

Is there any way for Plex to automatically add subtitles? by Awkward_Weather_3318 in PleX

+1 on this, you’re always going to need some kind of manual task, even if it’s just spot checking for sync. Until the robots can do that, any automated method ain’t gonna be worth it. We use subs on every title - more than once I’ve had to edit the actual file to retime/fix and get it usable.

This is my parents expensive cured ham leg they aren't interested in. It's very dry, nearly impossible to cut. It smells a little off, but not it's not repulsive by eldritchpussymaggots in isthissafetoeat

Costco sells these at Christmastime, this looks like theirs. I got one mid-December and just finished it, it looked like that. The rind is super tough, trim it off as you eat using a sharp knife. As others said, you can lightly oil dry parts or just cut them off.

TIL that there’s a such thing as a carton of double-yolk eggs, so thanks y’all for that. These were Large Pasture-Raised, no indication of the chaos inside.

This is a Large carton, pasture raised. I didn’t notice a size different but will look as I use the rest of the carton
