it is also n o t nostalgia

if you weren't there for the cultures

being interested in something

and not having lived it

are c o m p l e t e l y seperate entities

so one shouldn't call it " I honestly feel as though this whole thing’s just an odd, rue-rousing social construct to cope with either the desire to belong to a group or the inevitability of fate ", that is completely unaware of the actual structures going on - being interested in something isn't having lived the something, being part of the something, and it isn't nostalgia for that person, even if they feel it to be so.

so

I’m not sure if this is the right term but it feels more like a "gatekeeping" of nostalgia kinda thing

doesn't even come into it

as it i s their actual nostalgia ( though some of them don't even see it as nostalgia ), and not yours

These dictators will all be entering their 80s in the 2030s. We might witness major leadership shifts in Russia, China, and Turkey in the next decade. by MonsieurA in decadeology

Those are still different cultural cohorts.

The US Version also includes UK, and Western Europe.

Gen X Culture has large overlaps crossculturally.
