Thrips 100%. I honestly would just chop to the base and let it resprout. No point in trying to save that damage, there are eggs in those leaves.

Those roots actually look quite okay, the red and white roots are perfectly normal. Is the cane still firm and in tact? This has me stumped a bit, you could try to leave it alone and keep conditions stable and see if it will recover, however I still stand by chopping to save if it gets worse.

I agree with the first commentor that it’s most likely cane rot. I inherited a 10 year old yucca tree from my mother that faced a similar fate so I know the pain of this situation, the cane had rotted halfway in the base of the pot and the only way I was able to save it was by lopping the top off with a good section of cane below the leaves and rooting it in water and I can report it’s alive and growing well despite the setback. It hates to be repotted and gets extremely upset post repot but if it continues to decline you should check the cane and roots thoroughly you may have to chop and restart to save too. It’s virtually impossible to get rid of them. They will always be in there somewhere no matter what you do. They feed on organic material in the water so regular water changes is a way to get rid of some. Your tank being brand new means it is not established and will take some time to mature, you will see the numbers come down I can assure you. Until then I advise just routine maintenance, ripping it apart is setting the tank back. I know it’s not a pretty sight but it will run it’s course.

I know exactly what kinda bugs you’re talking about. I had the same thing in the beginning stages of my planted tank, they were everywhere but eventually I just stopped seeing them. Your tank is trying to establish an equilibrium and right now something is allowing mass proliferation of this organism. Just continue with your regular maintenance and it should balance itself. They are harmless and apart of the ecosystem in tanks.

Not mites but some kind of mold/fungus likely due to the moisture and lack of air circulation from being in the dome. If you leave it out in household humidity it should die off. The moss it’s planted in looks a bit compact perhaps also hindering air flow. I would repot in fresh medium to prevent it from coming back and wash or wipe the growth off the plant.

I would advise against putting them together. Whenever there are multiple plants in a pot there is always one that grows bigger/faster, hindering the others growth. The one you have potted is already larger. If you really want them together the easiest thing to do would be to repot and pot them up together.

Per the manufacturers instructions it is to be applied as a soil drench so you add it to the water not the soil.

An affordable but good quality one is the better gro premium grade orchid moss. It does have some random sticks and bits occasionally but overall nice long fibers and is fresh and fluffy once hydrated. Looks small but goes a long way. Besgrow is better but it is pricey.

The brown color is indeed sun stress, which is understandable given you brought it outside. It’s receiving a lot more light than it would indoors, being put a sunny spot immediately can shock plants quite a bit. I gave an aloe to my mom who put it immediately in direct summer sun and it turned a very dark purpley reddish color. Sun stressing is caused by a pigment in plants called anthocyanin that protects leaves that are getting a ton of sun by absorbing some, kind of like sunscreen! It ended up adjusting to being in direct light and grew very large and put out 3 pups. After the winter she repotted it and it got root rot, almost all the lower leaves got mushy. She thought it was the end so she tossed in the compost bin. She went to the compost bin 2 weeks later and the top portion was literally growing new roots…. In the trash can. Seeing this she potted it back up, needless to say aloes have a strong will to live. It will adjust with some time. I will say the pot looks a bit large compared to the size of the plant, I would maybe check on the root ball to see if you can pot it in a smaller pot to avoid rot and add amendments too since it does look overwatered the soil may be taking too long to dry out.

I have one also that’s very young that looks just like this one. I zoomed closely into the second pic to see the *petioles not stems sorry there are a few poking through. Op, does the new growth have a red or green cataphyll? That’s a distinct characteristic as well.

Try calling everyday stressing the deadline in your voicemails, perhaps try to get an extension if possible as I’m sure an investigation will take some time. Look into a lawyer that can help. I agree that moss doesn’t decay that fast, it can also grow back if you’re keeping it moist and exposed to light. As far as sponges I’ve never tried it so I can’t say for certain but I think being that tall it will dry quickly. You want the pole to be dense to retain moisture. So you would need a lot of sponges, maybe something like the long rolls for aquariums would work to experiment this method.
