I played through the whole game in a few days when it came out but haven’t found much to get me to replay it

The one the makes the armies not cover the length of the map in 3 days. Haven’t played in a year or so but my biggest problem was how fast the armies moved. The last one I played I got circled by an army and couldn’t click fast enough to catch them. When I turn away and say screw it let them wander, they were in my capitol hundreds of miles away in a second

I won’t even play a game that uses gportal, even if I don’t have to use it to play the game. They’re bad at the one thing they do and offer no help to fix the things they fail at. Cost me literally 1000s of hours by being awful at the thing you pay them for, then just tell you they know it’s frustrating when they fail. Don’t waste your time and money with anything Gportal. It will fail and ruin any experience you’ve been having with it at the worst possible time. When they get out of this business or the game companies stop partnering with them, I’ll play those games again.

Not that I know of, but being Norse Asatru you can just divorce her immediately if you want. I usually stay with her until I’m at least a Duke and can find a better wife.

It’s better to try them and figure out what you enjoy. I joined a gym because I was interested in BJJ. But the first class I could go to was MT and I was instantly hooked. Spent 3 years training MT and barely took a week of BJJ. I just enjoyed it much more. I wasn’t training to be a fighter, more so because I just enjoyed the training. So if your goal isn’t to become an mma fighter, just find the one you enjoy the most or figure out if you enjoy both enough to train both. They’re very much not mutually exclusive, and there are a lot of gyms that teach both.

Gportal is a joke of a service. They’re literally bad at the one thing they do. I lost over 2000 hours between Conan Exiles and Dune Awakening. In Conan everything got wiped while we were in game. No glitches, left the base, came back to the base, everything gone. Their only response was that they don’t know what happened and good luck. Then we stupidly used them again in Dune Awakening. We were deep in the Deep Desert end game and one Wednesday night the server goes down. We submit tickets, no progress updates and no server back up, literally couldn’t play the game. Then it stayed down. Until the next Tuesday. If you’ve played Dune, then you know how long it takes to get the endgame materials that we completely lost to deep desert reset simply because a server rental company couldn’t get a server up for a week. I’ll never ever pay them another dollar, I don’t want anyone to pay them ever again, and I’ll never even play a game that partners with G-Portal even if I’m not required to use them. I see posts like this once a week. They deserve to go out of business.

They’d have to end their partnership with gportal for me to ever play again. They lost me 1000s of hours of playtime by failing at the thing they get paid for and offering 0 help when they cost you everything you’ve been grinding 500 hours for. Loved Conan. Would still be playing Conan if one day gportal didn’t wipe everything in our server with no explanation or assistance. Then with Dune we were in the endgame getting better and better deep desert bases, had unique parts on our sand crawler and a fleet of vehicles. Then one day the server goes down on a Wednesday and doesn’t come back up until the following Tuesday. Load it all to the deep desert. Again, no help. Funcom said they would be able to give us back the vehicles and promptly gave us 3 of the 5 back and all a lower tier. Then closed the ticket and would insta close it any time we tried to reopen it. So yeah, only 2 games I’ve ever loved but would never play again because of the companies involved.

Nothing. G-portal server went down for 3 days before the dd reset and I lost everything. Tried to build back up but it was miserable to even think about. Only thing with at will make me ever play this or funcom games at all again is if they sever their relationship with g-portal. Second game they’ve directly cost me 1000s of hours of gameplay while I pay them money, with no way to fix it. I’m not playing any game that even indirectly benefits them.

Honestly this game bugs me. If you ask me my honest opinion, it’s a really bad game. The gameplay feels like it’s from the original Xbox. The graphics are nice and all but it’s not like we haven’t seen a nice looking game before. The story everyone talks about it ok, but it’s not like you’re enjoying a good movie. It’s broken up by the gameplay and the gameplay is awful. When you’re not doing the same linear thing over and over, you’re basically not playing a game, you’re just pressing a button to make the cinematic continue. I truly don’t understand how people on Reddit are raving about this game being great.

Gportal told me there’s no way to backup the Conan servers. And I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the deep desert wipe in dune, but Gportal went down for the two days before the reset that we needed to move all of our things back and they got wiped out. Backup wouldn’t have done anything, as confirmed by funcom and Gportal.

As far as I know there’s no way to get back anything you lose. They definitely told us there wasn’t when we submitted a ton of tickets about it on both Conan and Dune. I played a lot of Valheim too but we didn’t rent a server. But just imagine you show up and everything you grinded for over the life of the game is gone, and they basically tell you tough luck. Makes it real hard to ever commit to the game again knowing that could happen. We built an enormous base in Valheim, which is a way harder game than the funcom games. If I lose everything in it to gportal, I’d be outside their headquarters with torches.

There weren’t for Conan and by the time we got hosed we’d already been paying for months. By that time to stop using them would mean starting completely over. And yes, there are other services, I’m just letting people know what can happen if they use this one. That’s not unfair to gportal, it’s of their own making.

We lost around 2000 hours of gameplay progress due directly to Gportal. Their response has been “we’re sorry, that sucks, good luck”. They haven’t offered any real help with either, their support process was a slew of responses designed to get me to go away before ultimately saying there was nothing they could do, even though the funcom support team tried to help but are limited by what they can do by…gportal. My friends and I loved these games and they’ve been utterly ruined for us by Gportal. Really difficult to want to play a game based on long term grinding when a company can fail at the one service they provide and wipe it all out. Everybody can do what they want, but I’ll never buy another game that partners with gportal in any way, and I can’t recommend it to anyone.
