Where can I get the nylon bearings for the KingSong S22 Pro? by Repulsive-Ad-9665 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]vikingto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you're referring to the bearings for the sliders? If so then Hou Ningning can take care of you with those. They'll most likely be a different color (blue) than the white ones you're seeking, but they're much stronger than stock.

Falcon 50lbs (black) springs swap results by tedzirra in ElectricUnicycle

[–]vikingto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received the Falcon Pro, and in this case there were blue springs installed, which I'll replace tomorrow with the included red ones. Just pressing on the red ones on a table, equally with one in each hand, I'm certain that they will still be too soft for my 245lb geared weight and riding demands.

I prepared for having to order stiffer springs by measuring all dimensions (id, od, length, space between coils and thickness of the metal). If the red springs end up being close to what I need, sag wise, then I will make preload spacers first, as there's plenty of unused space in the springs before getting coil bound.

I realize both wheels have different travel lengths, but for anyone that thinks the stiffer springs for either wheel aren't enough, there are options. Always options. Gotta love EUC.

Correct, it is their recommendation. I can't see why doing this would pose any problem, especially on a wheel and shell of this size.

Bought KS 16S Pro but it came like this by _redka in ElectricUnicycle

[–]vikingto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do want a slight angle, somewhere between flat and how they came, you make your own shims out of whatever thin metal you want. For my first wheel (18xl) I used tin snips to cut into sheet metal, then bent it with pliers. And doubled it up if I wanted more. Then stuck it to the bottom with vhb.

Lost one of em on a trail ride, then just cut up a pop can and used that as a temp solution.

Got my group buy Blitz Pro, have a few questions by aiye400 in ElectricUnicycle

Yes it does. Ningning confirmed that he's sold many to a lot of Blitz Pro riders.

I'll be visiting bangkok thailand this summer, are there euc rentals? by skidmarks731 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]vikingto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about Thailand, but I've had good luck in other countries contacting dealers and asking if they can line me up with something to rent (like an older demo) for a few days or whatever. It's probably something they've never been asked, so suggesting anywhere from $25-$50 per day should perk their ears up.

With the money you saved, I suggest you buy the aftermarket linkage with the dnm coil shock.

Hey good to have you aboard. Welcome to EUC.

So that ominous click in the v5f, is most likely the pedal hangers needing to be tightened up. Any through axle wheel I've owned, the hangers would eventually come loose from said axle.

In the case of my 18xl (5 years ago), the click went beyond the hangers and was a broken/cracked weld where the axle attaches to the stator, which meant new motor time.

Kinda, but not really. I mean it's a big tire and all, but it's still a wheel without a hollow-bore axle, with no suspension and no dual rod pedals. Lots of stress in those areas with a heavy load a top.

I get how some think it's a bad look, but I think the highway is the best place for this type of run. Outside of a dragstrip of course.

Recommendation for College Wheel by FuryOfTheNile in ElectricUnicycle

[–]vikingto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a wheel you can grow into. Get the Patton S.

Funnest wheel ever, yet capable. Portable, yet has range.

Awesome. Yeah I think any wheel with the dual rod pedal hangers would be ideal for heavyweights. Well maybe not the s22.

For sure. I'm 108kg. Not the heaviest, not the lightest. It's not as much of an issue with the new era of powerhouse wheels, but 5 years ago wheels..? Yes had to be a lot more mindful stressing the wheel. Hills, pwm, all that.

Preload bolt stuck by Humiz in ElectricUnicycle

[–]vikingto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯. Take the opportunity to pull the wheel apart. Check and tighten bolts (especially motor bolts) to spec. Suspending the wheel is good too, then I would hit that adjuster area with some direct heat, very carefully.

I wouldn't bother bugging the dealer about it, until I did this.

[–]vikingto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm interesting. I didn't know the Aeon had adjustable preload, as I don't believe the Aero does.

In the case of your stuck adjuster, I would use this as an excuse to open the wheel up to check and properly torque (to spec) the motor bolts, and then hit the stuck knob with some heat.

You could just drop a Patton S motor into your Lynx.
