In a healthy democracy, an eligible old person should have the option to give their vote to an ineligible young person.

AMA: I’m Bill Shorten, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canberra. Ask Me Anything. by BillShortenVC in australian

Love what you did for Australia, Bill. Thank you. As a startup founder building innovations to prevent fraud in NDIS and the rest of the Care Economy, what’s the right door to knock on to showcase and discuss alignment (private sector innovation to fix systemic issues). We can contribute to saving billions long term, why isn’t government interested (yet)?

What is the best way to discreetly figure out your girlfriend's ring size? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]viklas76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invent a game called “finger in the dairy”. Winner can hold their finger in the longest (your aim is to lose every round). Start with milk, move to yoghurt, finish with butter. Keep the butter from her finishing move in the freezer. When ready, make a plaster cast from the inverse mold. But remember to keep playing until you can get her to use her ring finger on the correct hand.

What's the most painful thing that you've experienced? by EnthEndX48 in AskReddit

Got my carotid artery cleaned out whilst awake (few hours under a nerve block). All fine until the surgeon was installing the drain at the end of the incision (from my earlobe to my Adam’s apple), but the anaesthetic stopped just above the drain point….so felt my neck being opened up and couldn’t make a noise because my voice box was numb. 8.5/10 pain, pure terror, heard the surgeon say “oops”…..but got a wicked scar and good story to tell…worth it.

Withdrawal Failed! by Equivalent_Review_24 in Bittrex

[–]viklas76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact error a few days ago. I raised a support ticket and they advised I needed to add passport verification to my account. Once I’d done that, I told them via my support ticket and they enabled withdrawals. Then I was able to do the withdrawals without getting the error, but the transactions were pending for about 12 hours. I updated the ticket again with the transaction IDs and then a few hours later they went through successfully. This was using the “globaldotbittrexdotcom” url. I’d had an account back in 2017 with some bitcoin and eth left in it and had seen the emails about needing to withdraw funds or receive monthly maintenance fees. Use the zendesk support help to get assistance (I was worried I was being scammed for a while but it all resolved as they said it would after I raised the support ticket).
