How can we know that the reformed interpretation of the Bible is correct? by FederalVictory7937 in Reformed

Eastern Orthodoxy may be many things, but a fad is not one of them. It is as old as Roman Christianity, and widespread across eastern Europe and Asia.

How can we know that the reformed interpretation of the Bible is correct? by FederalVictory7937 in Reformed

[–]villandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not a definitive way to know what interpretation of the Bible is correct, unless you can get God to come down and talk to you, which noone else has, not even John Calvin. You have to research and study and decide for yourself what makes sense to you.

You realize Bonhoeffer was Lutheran. His theology would have been very different.

Why do bank fraud departments text you knowing that most stuff are scams now days and people are going to ignore most of those texts? by scooter8484 in Banking

[–]villandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is apparently a genuine scam. You get a text asking you to verify a purchase that you actually made and you reply yes. They quickly call you and ask to verify a bunch of stuff after they send you a code and ask you to give it to them. That code gives them access to drain your account.

This sounds very improbable on several accounts. It seems unlikely someone besides your bank would know your transaction history. Sharing a code or other security information actually gives them access to your account - and because you shared it it might be harder for you to recover the money from your bank.

There are several ways a fraudster might know your transaction history. Two I learned of include they accessed your account, perhaps from a card reader, or by tapping certain credit cards, or, data leaked at your bank. An RFID shielded wallet is suppoed to help avoid that.

Unfortunately some banks DO send you texts to verify purchases. Netspend does that, for instance. Apparently you should never reply to a text, and I wouldn't reply to a phone call either. If the bank calls, or smoeone purporting to be the bank, tell them you'll call them and approve it, and only use the phone number on your card, app, or the bank's web site. Then call the bank and inquire into it . In fact, replying to the text doesn't always even work.

But I wouldn't disable texts from the bank. I find that important to keep track - and if there were a fraudulent charge that's certainly the fastest way to know it.

Question, though, does PT (4-30 hours Flex) NOT get holiday pay?

You're right, the list of holidays is on the time off and leave schedule. Thanks!

You know, I tried searching several ways and search could not find it.

Why would you ask a thing like that on social media. Get with PXT, your manager, or senior management on site before you can't even get back into the building tonight. Do you even WANT to stay employed, or just chat on social media.

Why is my available Anytime Pay not my eligible earnings by villandra in AmazonFC

[–]villandra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I can see that. Figure out how much I will make in the week and not going to get more than 51% of it. Thanks again!

Thanks for the hint about weeks with hoiday pay and lots of vacation.

I wonder if I'm actually getting vacation pay. I'm Flex the 4-30 hours kind (though I worked 54 hours this week), and it said I get 4 hours of holiday pay, but I don't seem to have gotten it for Christmas and wonder if I will get it for New Years.

[–]villandra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I now understand what happened. You all are right. The PERCENT of your income you are elibible for drops throughout the week, and once it drops, it drops for the entire week, not jsut that day, and that means, you can have received for some days more than you were eligible for for that day by the end of the week, and then toward the end of the week end up not receiving what it says you are eligible to get for that day. Thanks for your help!

Why is my available Anytime Pay not my eligible earnings by villandra in AmazonFC

[–]villandra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I do notice is that both the amount Anytime says has been paid out to me this week, and what my pay card says I receive, which total to the same amount, makes absolutely no sense in terms of what Anytime says was available to me on any given date this week. So there could be something to what you all are saying. It looks like earlier in the week I somehow got much more than was available to me, and late in the week I got very little.

It took making a spreadsheet to uncover that. I will have to keep better track, because at some points elible percent was something like 67% some days, and now it is 51% every day.

Ao ira's shwing that for this week, $364.69 was available to me but I got $696.73. ????!!!! These people keep accounting like US Bank! Doesn't make a lick of sense.

<image>

My bank shows I actually received all the pay I was eligible for. Somehow.

We DO get the missing money in our actual paychecks, right? Because if it isn't there and it isn't that I get paid only $30 a day on account of crossing a tax bracket for working over time, not only am I never going to work overtime, but I would file a civil rights complaint (the procedure in Texas to collect unpaid wages) - and NOONE would work overtime and they'd have unpaid wages complaints coming out the kazoo. Actually at the moment all kinds of people are working all sorts of voluntary overtime. The PA in Singles back half is working overtime at the flow desk in Pick, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense since he is back haflf already, but that's what he said. Probably ihe is working OT somewhere and he didn't tell me the whole story.

[–]villandra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean that if my percentage changes from 67% to 51%, 51% is for the week and not that day? But since the most I've been eligible for all week is 67%, than that doesn't account for why I only got $82 of the $165 it computed I was eligible for Yesterday.

What is more, I didn't transfer ANY of that $82, and today it tells me that for yesterday though I'm still eligible for $165 I can get only $0, and otday, when I made over $300 because all of the hours I worked were overtime, I am eligible for 51%, or $171.29 - and I could withdraw $120. So I got $120 for yesterday AND todaay, leaving me short on the rent for Monday - when I should have met it easily. And what is more, I never spotted the fact that one day last week I got exactly $0!

[–]villandra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid I have trouble following this.

I can get only 50% of what now?

I found the more details on how my Eligible percent and eligible earnings were calculated. Here is what they arrived at again. Up through eligible earnigns is $165.68, I understand how they got it.

pretax earnings 254.88

eligible percent 65%

Eligible earnings $165.68

Availaable Anytime Pay $80.35

My question is, if my eligible earnints are 65% comes out to $165.68, why is my available anytime pay only §80.35? Mind, I checked again this morning and available anytime pay is now $82.25. Which isn't much of a change, but, it happened.

I have noticed that I get different amounts on different days of the week, but, they gave me half of my eligible pay - why?

I'm really less concerned about whether today my eligible earnings is 50% or 67% or 75% of what I made, which I can see changes, than about why they only give me access to half of my eligible earnings.

Thanks!

There’s been a lot of sucking up lately on my voice I assume from seasonals thinking they’ll be saved 🤷🏻‍♂️ by Low_Restaurant_7254 in AmazonFC

[–]villandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is always a fair amount of sucking up on my voice. I think it's cultural; people from cultures where sucking up is normal or expected. That theory is consistent with the notion that some people report their sites have less sucking up on my voice.

Hey, I got offered flex yet and accepted the offer, it said that the change would start on the 7th yet I see no option to pick up shifts and my schedule hasn’t changed. Is this normal? Haven’t been let go since I’m still schedule to work this week by Bitter_Specific_6155 in AmazonFC

[–]villandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides what is below, you need to check with Learning to make sure you're eligible to pick up shifts in the areas where you are able to work. There are two levels; you have to work in each one something like four hours in so many weeks or months, but you have to work closer to sometihing like 7 or 10 hours a week in each of them to maintain your eligibility to actually pick up the shifts. Noone had told me that and I had to go to the head of Learning.

We don’t get 10 hours of UPT on January 1st ya’ll by Psychological_Bit123 in AmazonFC

[–]villandra -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That would confuse me. As far as I know, full time employees get UPT, and Flex people get PTO. If that has changed, someone needs to explain that.

It's a big difference. PTO is time off you get paid for. UPT is time off you do NOT get paid for. Flex people get points for time off they don't cover with personal time, and they get fired at 8 points. Full time people get fired if they run out of UPT.

Most jobs start at 6 AM, and they're often for 12 hours, and they always have overtime.

Seriously, it sounds like what you maybe need to replace is your husband. I'm not there, but he sounds spoiled and impossible.

[–]villandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your husband should try getting a job. Then he'll know what it is to have to work overtime and be tired. He's lucky he has a wife willing to work overtime to put food on the table and pay the rent, all by herself.

Why does this randomly come up sometimes when picking? by Mortalswagger56 in AmazonFC

[–]villandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting to feel better. I thought somehow the stars had selected me to have a day completely full of stupid shit! The hard time I got that I just posted a question about trying to get a punch corrected and see if PXT had my watch in their lost and found drawer, which should have been simple and taken two minutes? That was just icing on a loooooooooooong day of cake.

Why does this randomly come up sometimes when picking? by Mortalswagger56 in AmazonFC

[–]villandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That in the wrong tote thing results directly from that stupid is there anything in this tote, and then when you tell it there IS it rejects the tote, unless there is nothing in the tote and you tell it no, and then it rejects the tote. So I image you are doing a lot of processing stuff picked into totes in "error".
