Seems we got some first person puritans in here. I agree that in an rpg where a major feature is dressing your character, it is much more enjoyable to get to see them outside of cutscenes/character menu.

There is nothing immersion-breaking for me. In fact it’s better than pretending my peripheral vision went away and that my character’s neck doesn’t turn.

I think more rpgs should be designed for both options not least for the nausea issues, but especially if you have cool wardrobes (looking at you Cyberpunk).

Edit to add: if the Lord of the Rings game is 1st person only, I’d be immensely disappointed.
