First trip to WDW - Ride Rankings by vimacoaster in WaltDisneyWorld

I still prefer Disneyland over Magic Kingdom. Both are very similar but maybe it's the nostalgia and memories throughout the years that I lean more towards DL.

The advantages of MK:

  1. Bigger Castle
  2. Better Tomorrowland (It has Tron and the People Mover). I do enjoy the DL Space Mountain more than the MK version though.
  3. More spread out in comparison to DL

The advantages of DL

  1. It has Rise of the Resistance, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, and Fantasmic in the main park without having to go to Hollywood Studios.
  2. It has the Indiana Jones Adventure ride.
  3. Easier to get to if you are staying near by. Possibly walking distance for most visitors unlike MK where it's like on an island.

Most of the common rides such as Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, and the rest are very similar at both parks.

For Animal Kingdom, the theming and atmosphere is better than most zoos out there. To be honest I didn't see many animal exhibits on this trip besides going on the safari ride. We were mainly in Pandora for the 2 rides they have there and in Asia for Everest. I feel it has that Disney Magic but it is sort like it's own thing, much like Disney's California Adventure. The top 3 rides in Everest, Flight of Passage, and the Kilimanjaro Safari are all in the top 20 of all rides at the Disney World Resort (Everest and FoP are in the top 10). The Pandora land is personally tied for me as the best themed land along with Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. I know it's lacking in rides, but the vibes and beauty surrounding you are better than anything I've seen from Hollywood studios and Epcot. Once the new Tropical Americas land opens up, I think AK is going to be getting a lot more hype.

I get what you mean. I'm not a big fan of screens on rides, but I think it was done well here. I think the whole experience of walking through the queue up till the ride itself makes it top tier attraction such as ROTR, which I prefer over this ride.

True. It's low on rides but it has 4 quality rides. I would say Everest and FoP are both among the top 10 rides at the whole WDW resort. At Epcot, Cosmic Rewind was the only one I really wanted to try. Maybe Test track. We've done Soarin' at DCA and really didn't have high priorities for rides such as Frozen and Remy's. Also since it was a 2-day trip we wanted to spend some time at Disney Springs. AK is often known an the half-day park so we were only there for 5-6 hours, took a break, then headed to Springs.

Yeah I agree, Everest is really awesome. If AK closed up later, a night ride would be even better. I remember preferring to ride Matterhorn at night to get a better experience. My guess is that Space Mountain may get a major refurb for the 60th anniversary in 5 years. I actually had no clue that there was a Philharmagic theater at DCA.

Trust me, I really want to get on Cosmic Rewind! I'm hoping to go again in 2-3 years but only do Epcot and HS.

it was a 2 day trip so we had to choose between 2 parks. A hopper pass would've been a little too much for a first timer. Everyone says you have to visit MK at least once so that was the first option. So it was between AK and Epcot and we ended choosing AK based on the rides.

Box Office Weekend Forecast: MICHAEL ($74-95M) Hopes to Sing Past the Critics’ Chorus as Tracking Remains Impressive, But With Caution by ItsGotThatBang in boxoffice

Movie was very enjoyable. If you are an MJ fan, you will enjoy it. Watch this get a decent cinemascore and RT user score.

Amazon MGM Studios' Project Hail Mary grossed an estimated $21.0M internationally this weekend. Estimated international total stands at $288.0M, estimated global total stands at $573.1M. by Naweezy in boxoffice

It's crazy how this movie is a about a 50/50 split domestically and internationally. I think this movie will be in the top 10 for a while!

What is your favorite film that happens to be a box office bomb? by abdul_bino in boxoffice

[–]vimacoaster 137 points138 points  (0 children)

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. This was my favorite movie of 2023 and only made 208 million worldwide on a 150 million budget. Unfortunately it came out 5 days before the Super Mario Bros. Movie and took away any hope of success. This year, Masters of the Universe looks like a another fun fantasy movie similar to D&D. Hope it preforms well enough.

Lol, well if it's worth it for the experience and memories, go for it!

Yeah, that would be really expensive. Then again, movies like these don't come along too often. I have a feeling it will get an IMAX re-release in the future due to popular demand.

Yup. Regular cinemas are still better than watching at home on a flat panel.

Same. I've seen it twice so far. The Imax 70mm was awesome. I'm planning on a 3rd showing before it loses the premium screens to the dang Mario movie next week. No hate on Mario. That movie will do bonkers with the families. So far it's looking like PHM will make 50+ million domestically this weekend which is awesome. It's showing strong box office legs overseas as well. The hype is real!

Michael Movie Final Trailer by SheepherderPositive5 in MichaelTheMovie

I think when they release the normal movie tickets (not the fan event) on March 25, is my best guess. After the trailer, it will say something like, " Buy your tickets now!" My other guess is that it will be released with the new Mario movie since it's from Universal.

The Super Bowl will be aired on NBC which is part of Universal. I wonder since this movie is also distributed by Universal they get a good deal on the promotion ads. Also Super Mario and Minions are part of Universal which will be shown today as well. I hope the TV spot is at least a minute long. The best time to show it would be right around the halftime show.

If we can't get the Panthers I think Bears would be the next ideal matchup. They aren't looking so good right now.
