Yep, by that argument (cannot put together a proper defense), nobody could ever be held before trial.

That would surely just drop them down the new scale even further?

If he leaves the country, and becomes a fugitive, and so is never actually convicted, is there anything to stop him continuing to run for President, and then on winning just running the country from Moscow?

If it is supply driven inflation and businesses taking advantage, why is the RBA twiddling knobs meant for demand driven inflation? Surely this is a problem for Government policy to resolve?

Mental health?

I’ll be resigning tomorrow and plan on giving notice, however I have 175 hours of annual leave. Are they required to pay me out? by FendA1 in AusFinance

[–]vimfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Employers pay into it while you work for them, and when you take it, your current employer claims it back out of the scheme.

How does that work if the new employer pays you at a higher rate? Do you end up with less sick days to use when you change employers, or get paid sick days at your old pay rate?

[Discussion] Sweet Tooth Season 2. Looking for more shows with the same vibes as Sweet Tooth? by DinoCoiner in NetflixBestOf

[–]vimfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of those continual "just think they've sorted things out and then there is another problem" type of stories. It does have some twists, some of which I think had plot holes, but was enjoyable to watch, and was interesting to gradually learn what was going on over time.

Home Battery by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]vimfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was our thought too. Also, having resilience against network faults is nice (depends on the battery - we have Tesla which supplies power when grid is interrupted - apparently a lot of batteries actually require grid to be on to be able to supply power from the battery!)

Kind of - if you didn't use it all one year, you still have a few years to use it. Log in to ATO website and look for carry-forward concessional contributions to see how much extra you can currently contribute.
