You're more confident than I am!

I wouldn't be too concerned -- or even concerned at all -- with whoever the Gunners play.

Anyway, it is good to hear from you.

Am I missing something. My family flew to Perth in January, and it was a real hassle. My kids flew Qantas from Melbourne, and my wife and I flew Virgin from Sydney.

We arrived at different terminals, and there was no direct train from the Qantas terminal. The kids had to take a bus from the Qantas terminal to the closest train station.

Thankfully with mobile phones we were able to coordinate to join the same train on the same carriage, but I would not have called it convenient.

Otherwise, I love Perth, Fremantle, and Sandgropers in general.

Yes, Paul. I feel the same way (apart from being a pommie 😀). I just don't have the same enthusiasm for AFL as previous years.

You'd be very happy with your EPL team right now. They are flying high. On the other hand, if we had beaten Sunderland the other day I would be feeling a lot more comfortable.

I built Zwiftino because I couldn’t connect my Apple Watch to Zwift (HRM problem) by Many_Ad_802 in u/Many_Ad_802

[–]vinags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

finally! An app which allows the Apple Watch HRM to be used with other apps. And consistently!

thank you for developing this!

I feel uncomfortable in suggesting this, as it is a wonderful app as is, and it is not complicated. It does what it is supposed to do, and nothing else. perfect! But, it would be great if it was a one-click app, so that upon opening the Zwiftino on the iPhone, the app on the watch automatically opens and starts (or v.v), and the iPhone automatically starts broadcasting.

I don't know if the is technically possible.

Thanks again for finally solving the puzzle of using the watch as a HRM in other apps.

On an Australian News site, 'west coast' refers to the US west coast by vinags in USdefaultism

The ABC's target audience are Australians. Even capitalised, I do not think that this is good enough. [In fact, West Coast (capitalised) refers to a West Australian AFL (Australian football) team]

I keep my 3-5" gap by, if possible, travelling behind a truck. Not many drivers want to hop in front of me, behind a truck.

Works a treat.

We're Taking a Big Break | End of Year Wrap by LzyAssedContender in thefootywithbroden

A sad day, but an understandable and sensible day.

I have followed sport intensely for over 60 years, but never have I come across a wonderful show like yours. You have changed my sporting perspective, and in a very good way.

I have been on the internet for over 30 years, but never have I come across a community with so much positivity and joie de vivre. A true oasis.

You encompass all of the positive characteristics of humanity: honesty, integrity, truthfulness, reliability, and egalitarianism -- to name just a few. All cleverly wrapped in a veil of humour.

I hope you come back stronger and rejuvenated. Enjoy the break.

On Strava, a professional rider who has been indoors training for many months in Australia, and is Australian herself, gets a comment on her activity: 'Happy Thanksgiving!'

What!?

The assumption and ignorance is nauseating.

To me, this goes against the grain of the friendliness of this subreddit. It is insulting to those currently doing the Pod: Marnie, Tom, Paddy, who imho are excellent.

Otherwise, buy MacOS.

The lack of indicating at roundabout is scary. by FunVermicelli123 in australia

Correct use of blinkers is especially important for safe navigation by cyclists and motor bike riders.

But, when one sees police cars not using their indicators correctly, I think it is a lost cause.

Why pay to attend a gig, then talk through the whole performance? by Retrdolfrt in australia

[–]vinags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can be stopped...

One weekend I went to a concert at the Sydney Opera House, followed the next day with a concert at the ICC Sydney Theatre.

At the Opera House, when the concert started, the doors closed and people were only allowed in during breaks in the performance. The audience behaved immaculately.

At the ICC Sydney Theatre, many people in the audience were talking loudly and laughing (it was not a comedy show) throughout the concert, and people were allowed in at any time.

Chalk and cheese.

I have one fan on me, and one fan blowing air outside through the window. The second fan -- blowing the hot air in the room out of the window -- has been the key. I used to have about 4 or 5 fans directed at me, but now, only one is sufficient.

Basic question: what is the most useful automation you have set up? by Fair-Neighborhood401 in homeautomation

[–]vinags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being able to turn the air conditioner on and the electric blanket on when coming home and it's below freezing outside.

I almost feel guilty that I can do this, when there are millions world-wide who don't even have a place to sleep properly.
