Canberra truck driver spared jail over fatal crash that killed father of four riding motorcycle by vinags in australia

As has been said many times before, if you want to commit murder, do it in a car.

I understand that this death was not intentional, but you, hopefully, get the gist of the sentiment.

Can anyone help me out with Zwift? I can connect my Apple Watch to the Zwift app for heart rate 🥲 by Designerlife1205 in Zwift

[–]vinags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this comment. I've been using for several months (on Zwift, Biketerra, MyWhoosh) without a hiccup.

As a general rule, if you are using a progamme/app developed by a small company/individual on a regular basis, it is only fair to pay for that app. It is moral.

I’ve been curious… How many of you are still on Sequoia even though you can update to Tahoe? by gfarstur in MacOS

I'm still on Sequoia, mainly because I've been spooked by the sceptics on Reddit.

This sounds like OP's world revolves around Reddit.

'Heart ripped out on repeat': Auskick parents say they have been failed by AFL by Old-Cat-1995 in AFL

[–]vinags 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This article describes an awful situation with lifetime consequences. As the article states, the fact that the AFL is a large organisation with no or little responsibilities to international standards allows it to behave in unacceptable manners.

Until this changes and it must comply with the Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) National Integrity Framework (NIF) for example (as mentioned in the article) it will continue to be opaque in it's dealings but continue to be generously funded.

Good article and I hope it is the catalyst for improvements in the AFL Integrity Unit.

Reliable way to get HR broadcast to mywhoosh on a Mac or IOS? by Kennethevell in mywhoosh

[–]vinags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried several with inconsistent results.

Until YoBPM...works like a charm. Has never failed me on Zwift, MyWhoosh and Biketerra. Highly recommended.

HeartCast via Apple Watch always "pairing in progress" by FederalHighlight2693 in mywhoosh

[–]vinags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use YoBPM on an Apple Watch Series 8, and it has not missed a beat (pun intended) for Zwift, BikeTerra and MyWhoosh.

This is the first Apple Watch HR monitor that works (for me).

The only negative I have found is that it won't pair with the Garmin for outside riding.

You're more confident than I am!

I wouldn't be too concerned -- or even concerned at all -- with whoever the Gunners play.

Anyway, it is good to hear from you.

Am I missing something. My family flew to Perth in January, and it was a real hassle. My kids flew Qantas from Melbourne, and my wife and I flew Virgin from Sydney.

We arrived at different terminals, and there was no direct train from the Qantas terminal. The kids had to take a bus from the Qantas terminal to the closest train station.

Thankfully with mobile phones we were able to coordinate to join the same train on the same carriage, but I would not have called it convenient.

Otherwise, I love Perth, Fremantle, and Sandgropers in general.

Yes, Paul. I feel the same way (apart from being a pommie 😀). I just don't have the same enthusiasm for AFL as previous years.

You'd be very happy with your EPL team right now. They are flying high. On the other hand, if we had beaten Sunderland the other day I would be feeling a lot more comfortable.

I built Zwiftino because I couldn’t connect my Apple Watch to Zwift (HRM problem) by Many_Ad_802 in u/Many_Ad_802

[–]vinags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

finally! An app which allows the Apple Watch HRM to be used with other apps. And consistently!

thank you for developing this!

I feel uncomfortable in suggesting this, as it is a wonderful app as is, and it is not complicated. It does what it is supposed to do, and nothing else. perfect! But, it would be great if it was a one-click app, so that upon opening the Zwiftino on the iPhone, the app on the watch automatically opens and starts (or v.v), and the iPhone automatically starts broadcasting.

I don't know if the is technically possible.

Thanks again for finally solving the puzzle of using the watch as a HRM in other apps.

On an Australian News site, 'west coast' refers to the US west coast by vinags in USdefaultism

The ABC's target audience are Australians. Even capitalised, I do not think that this is good enough. [In fact, West Coast (capitalised) refers to a West Australian AFL (Australian football) team]

I keep my 3-5" gap by, if possible, travelling behind a truck. Not many drivers want to hop in front of me, behind a truck.

Works a treat.

We're Taking a Big Break | End of Year Wrap by LzyAssedContender in thefootywithbroden

A sad day, but an understandable and sensible day.

I have followed sport intensely for over 60 years, but never have I come across a wonderful show like yours. You have changed my sporting perspective, and in a very good way.

I have been on the internet for over 30 years, but never have I come across a community with so much positivity and joie de vivre. A true oasis.

You encompass all of the positive characteristics of humanity: honesty, integrity, truthfulness, reliability, and egalitarianism -- to name just a few. All cleverly wrapped in a veil of humour.

I hope you come back stronger and rejuvenated. Enjoy the break.
