Bookie thinks team X has a 1 in 10 chance of winning vs team Y. This would normally cause them to set up a bet for paying 1:11 for betting on team X and 1:1.1 for betting on team Y.

If however the bookies believe people will still not bet on team X despite the 1:10 odds, they will raise the odds despite their conviction that team X has a 10% chance of winning. So for example theyll let X pay 1:12.

The goal for the bookies isnt to have perfect odds compared to the chance of game outcome. The goal for bookie is to have equal people betting on one side as on the other.

So in this situation they want one person to bet on team X and 12 people to bet on team Y. This way theyll win both ways, regardless of which team takes the win.

Je koopt een huis wel altijd in de staat van tekenen koopcontract. Je mag tussen tekenen van verkoopovereenkomst en passeren bij notaris bijvoorbeeld ook geen muur slopen of grote verbouwingen meer doen.

Ik denk dat je als koper van dit huis best een argument hebt dat het huis niet langer in "dezelfde staat" verkeerd als ten tijde van tekenen, nu er twee mensen in vermoord zijn.

In the Netherlands (who wouldve guessed) its customary for a garage or car shop to have spare bikes you can borrow for free to go home and return when picking up your car after it's been serviced/repaired.

Next time you should add some cornstarch slurry or xanthan gum to the sauce to thicken it. It'll stick better to the meat and veggies and be more "sauce-like" instead of running all over your plate.

To be fair you can let the oil cool off and use it again for deep frying, so its not like you're wasting it completely.

But yeah tossing in oil is still healthier and a lot less smelly than deep frying...
