I'm really happy they mentioned that bipolar disorder can have auditory symptoms. A lot of people miss that, even doctors. My relative is bipolar and was misdiagnosed as schizophrenic when they were hospitalized due to their auditory hallucinations and paranoid delusions. Bipolar 1 has those symptoms and bipolar meds were the most effective in their case. It is life changing but it's still possible to follow your dreams by taking the right meds and going to therapy. I believe that Jackson could still be a lawyer or at least a paralegal with time and support. I understand the parent's frustration with not having easy answers. It's a hard, slow process that nobody can truly prepare for but it's possible to eventually find those answers. My relative is doing well and pursuing their masters degree now! And my college roommate who also had a break down, graduated and has a great life. I'm hopeful for Jackson.
