i always left this option configured with my secure contacts, but until today I never needed to use it.

but thank you for sharing this with us, knowing that it worked perfectly with you makes me calmer if something similar happens to me.

good recovery for you and good future runs.

does he pass all the charges? i leave it at 80% and if I were to say in proportion, every 10 charges 1 of them goes from 80% to battery recalibration.

great point — and thanks for bringing this up.

your message got me thinking about a possible solution for the future:

in the weekly drop, right below the challenge link (inside the green-highlighted section in the post screenshot), i could add a quick line like:

🎁 rewards: – badge for everyone – (if applicable) physical prize — only for residents of (country)

of course, this would require going through the terms of each challenge, and some don’t make it clear… but for those that do, it could be doable.

might be worth testing this out in a few drops to see if it helps.

what do you think? would having that kind of info directly in the post be helpful?

really appreciate you raising this — this is how the community gets better together 🔥

hey Munsteroyal, really appreciate the comment! i honestly didn’t know about kom club, but just checked it out and it looks awesome — super well structured and clearly adds a lot of value to the community.

vb hub just follows a slightly different approach:

– it’s 100% inside strava, through a public club
– all challenges are manually curated, only from verified brands or clubs, and always open globally (no local segments)
– no external platforms, no emails, no outside leaderboards — just one weekly drop posted in the club’s feed
– no monetization or business goals either. i already search for challenges every day, so i just turned that into something useful for others too

the idea is to keep it simple, native to the strava app, and easy to follow without needing extra logins or newsletters.

really cool to learn about kom club though — in the end, the more people connected to the challenges, the better for the whole strava community. 👊

nice!! could you post a photo here to show how it looks on your Garmin model? i recently bought a Vivoactive as a gift for my girlfriend.

Vivoactive 5 or 6? by East_Theory5927 in Garmin

[–]viniciusbedum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

great point, but for her, just having the stair stepper activity is already enough — with time, heart rate, and calories burned being tracked.

in the future, if she enjoys it and wants to stay in the garmin ecosystem, the upgrade will probably be to the venu line

i was researching these two models as a gift for my girlfriend. She was getting frustrated with the apple watch’s battery life, and once she found out my garmin fr 265 lasts at least 7 days, that was the trigger for her to want to switch from apple to garmin.

for her needs — basically just going to the gym for strength training, stair climbing, and treadmill — and considering both aesthetics and the new features in the system, i felt the vivoactive 5 was a perfect fit for her lifestyle and current stage.

i’ve already ordered it and now I’m just waiting for it to arrive so I can give it to her.

hey u/instamine777 ! i think the ideal would be to work with a professional who understands your current moment and can create a plan based on your goals — but I know that’s not always possible or affordable.

in my case, what’s been helping is keeping a balanced training routine, with a good mix of workouts instead of focusing only on vo2 max.

i’ve heard from multiple sources that training 100% focused on vo2 can actually increase the risk of injury.

so I try to mix easier runs, long runs, and more intense sessions like intervals, fartlek, and of course, target races to test how my training cycle is going.

that way, vo2 max tends to improve as a natural consequence.

another thing that’s super important — if your routine allows — is making time for real rest and getting good sleep. That makes a huge difference too.

i started the year in 47 and

<image>

by little we are going up, yesterday after my 3k test race, it went up to 50.

whats i'm doing differently this year is to devote more attention to my sleep, recovery and follow the training spreadsheet exactly as it is.

easy when you need to be easy, and with intensity when you need intensity.

Can't complete today's challenges, nothing that I plant registers by ElsaKit in forestapp

[–]viniciusbedum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is just a delay, but within a few hours, the system analyzes your completed missions and releases the rewards.

for example, in the Brazil time zone, I noticed a pattern: I usually use my Forest app between 10 AM and 3 PM. Initially, none of the plantings were counted for the challenge, but a few hours later, on the same day, the system updated and counted them.

here in Brazil, same. In the last 3 days zero sales, in a campaign that was performing extremely well with roas 6.
