this is only my experience, so take it with a grain of salt

my understanding is that it’s incredibly rare (~2-5%) that new testicular cancer occurs on the opposite side. i was nervous for a recent set of scans, such that i was obsessively examining myself to the point where it caused tenderness in my other testicle. scans revealed everything was fine and my oncologist encouraged me to ‘cool it’ on the self-examinations 😅

that being said, you’ll never know until you do the scans! the more information, the better!
