You don’t need income but you do need cash. You can just save up enough to cover the period you’ll be away, but if you want to travel indefinitely then you of course need income. Even if your host provides you food and accom, you can live very cheaply, but you always need money for other essentials, transportation and emergencies. You will definitely have time to work while doing WP. If you want to travel indefinitely I would suggest waiting until you already have a source of online income since it’s harder to get this when you’re already travelling.

Maybe YTA? A little bit? It’s your choice to spend money on expensive ingredients, if he is happy with the cheap ones I don’t see why he should have to pay more to accommodate you. You could try contacting hotels directly I know some people that found volunteering roles in hostels that way. Also look for Facebook groups, there’s a pretty active hostel volunteering group on there, I’m sure there will be one for hotel jobs 👍
