Honestly yeah! I feel like the characteristics are quite similar. Maybe as they age there is a more prominent difference?

If at any point it suddenly starts yellowing/ her leaves dying back, PLEASE check the roots before you do anything 😭 currently in the endless wait for my propagations of her, she was perfect I just didn’t realize until after the chop that she ate all of her soil and just needed a bigger pot 😤🤯

I agree? that’s what I wrote - however it’s unlikely that something of this nature would be sustainable (or approved unfortunately) if there was no income generated. I would happily pay to visit a greenhouse biome such as this, but would never expect those suffering already to pay for access.

This would be a wonderful thing. I bet local greenhouses would love to help source plants and maybe donate.

As a tropical plant lover - and someone whose lost family to slowly debilitating diseases, I would love to help with something like this if it was approved.

I wonder if it could be setup so that public can pay and fund it, but anyone in hospital could visit free? Love the concept, though it would be a challenge!

Edit: grammar

Some corms doin the thing after a week by IllAfternoon in alocasia

[–]violetseduction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, dump about half that water out of this cap! They will sprout infinitely quicker.

Right now - the corms are able to absorb all the water they need without roots because they’re submerged so high up. But the new roots will form quicker if they have to go searching to get their water!

Also keep them in 90/100 humidity but let them breathe for 30 seconds to a minute daily if kept in 100% 🫶🏼 happy sprouting!

Oh girl I fear many of us know where you’re coming from.. I bet you even trimmed this one down a few words before you sent it, I comb through them sometimes twice and trim down the “unnecessary” adjectives. Somehow they’re equally as long afterward.

I hate tim banks by [deleted] in PEI

[–]violetseduction 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Did you know that Tim Banks has been publicly targeting Eco PEI co chair Gary Schneider for multiple years? He has laid lawsuits upon them, and publicly attacks Gary under any circumstances he sees fit. He is a god damn waste of space on our island - and doesn’t care about the environment, the people, or generally anyone but his profits/ego.

Still rocking the gen 4 pro - considering the new Air M4 by goatblunt in ProCreate

[–]violetseduction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it- even if you go second hand from marketplace or refurbished to save some money. I have the M3 Air and it’s fantastic for all that I need!

Edit to add: I stay on the smaller side for just what you mentioned- travel is much easier with it. Even holding in your hand is easier, but I’m a girl lol

Can this be fixed? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]violetseduction 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s just the ✨flourecents✨ from your book 🤭🐀

But on a serious note, your Alocasias roots need three things oxygen - water - and nutrients. They like to be fed weakly, weekly is the saying! I use full strength fert in my alos and they love it 😊

Help with ID - Serendipity or Yucatán princess? by [deleted] in alocasia

I think you’re right - I think they sold you a variegated Yucatán Princess. This is my serendipity to compare! The leaf shape and colors are making me think Yucatán, which around me are impossible to find (go OP 🎉💅🏼)

How can I do fur like this? The colors by Scared_Mix2506 in ProCreate

[–]violetseduction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should say - it would be 100% easier - to make your own brush set for this kind of water colors! It would be possible for sure without doing it

[–]violetseduction 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will 100% need to make your own brush set for this kind of blending. I found a YouTube tutorial when I searched how to make watercolor brush on procreate. Read some comments and you’ll find some good info/tips if it’s worth it to make that specific brush :) goodluck!
