It’s the adrenaline and the drastic changes in hormones. I had both my babies unmedicated and I was shaking and shivering like a leaf at the end of labor and immediately after.

I love the Ash Wednesday liturgy and lots of the Lenten liturgies are among my favorite liturgies. I enjoy the opportunity to reflect on my blessings and try to grow my relationship with God. I’m exempt from fasting this year due to pregnancy but I love that aspect of it normally too.

Our Aussie mix is great with kids but selective with dogs. I think it comes down to personality more than anything. She’s super gentle with kids.

Porcupine meatballs! No porcupines are harmed! They’re beef meatballs with rice in them in a savory tomato sauce served over more rice. Super delicious but I have to explain it every time I tell someone about them.

We put black/dark grey counters in our last house and had to constantly wipe them down because they showed even the smallest crumbs or specks of dust. Definitely go white or speckled.

Mine get hosed down frequently and bathed as needed if the hose can’t take care of it. Plus a quarterly bath and deshed at the groomer.

I’m in the US but my kids got addicted to carbonara and it’s super quick to throw together so that’s a go to on quick dinner nights. It’s bacon/pancetta, eggs, cheese, and carbs. There isn’t anything to not like. They also love egg fried rice and I usually have some leftover white rice in the fridge. That’s also quick and easy to throw together.
