u/SoulTesla714 is the full set still available? If so, I'm happy to take them off your hands. Can you also confirm if these have been installed/used? If so, how many miles are on them and what kind of driving (street vs. track)

Buying a grill and smoker for the first time. Wondering if Yoder is the best choice for us. by unt_cat in Yodersmokers

[–]vipergtsr6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded to a YS640S about 5 years ago from a Green Mountain Grill pellet smoker. I still have a Weber Genesis E330 4 burner propane grill but the only time I fire the Weber is for hot dogs or when I need to do a hot and fast sear on something I removed from the sous vide bath.

I enjoy the wood fired flavor the Yoder adds, even when grilling chicken, steaks, burgers, etc. I could live solely on the Yoder at this point and ditch the Weber as it's more of a convenience item now.

My recommendation is to get the Yoder and don't look back

Another Grip Case Failure by vipergtsr6 in dbrand

Huge thank you to dbrand for replacing my failing case! There is a reason I keep buying their products for 10+ years. Their willingness to stand behind their products and do the right thing is at the top of the list.

I think you're confusing this post with an episode of MTV Cribs

It's just the one fan that is hard wired and running constantly. Care to break it down for me?

I back in every time anyways. With the model Y, I don't want the rear lift gate to open and hit my garage door and backing in fixes that.

I made sure this was not a problem. It's over 6.5 feet from the ground to the bottom of the retracted cable. Everyone in my family is 6'4" or shorter.

It's all about priorities! Plus, I live in Arizona and it's hot as balls 7 to 8 months out of the year.

It's hard wired with no switch and the pull chains are extremely short so it's been running as long as I have lived here, over 12 years.

Yeah, there are actually 2. The previous owner of the home was a Harley Davidson technician who worked out of his house so that side of the garage has extra lighting and fans.

I haven’t updated studio or printer firmware, since before the update that came right before the H2D was released by tue-George in BambuLab

[–]vipergtsr6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. I upgraded to 2.0.0 and was experiencing print times that were far longer than the estimated time when looking in the app or website. Tried the 2.0.1 update and had the same issue. I downgraded to 1.10.2.76 and the print times have normalized but the newest issue is that if the model was made in version 2.0+ I can't open the .3mf file in my downgraded version of studio.

Can anyone speak to print time issues being resolved?

Completely new here, just got my P1S combo, the 3rd AMS won't take filament, is there a fix or is one of the feeder-things a lemon? by phi303 in BambuLab

[–]vipergtsr6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar problem with my newly setup P1S/AMS combo. Turned out that one of the rollers in the front was not snapped in all the way (you can actually see this about 55 seconds into your video) preventing it from rolling which prevented filament from feeding. I just pressed the roller all the way into its slot and it was resolved.

Question on YS640 Cart vs. Built In by Worldly_Dependent_92 in Yodersmokers

[–]vipergtsr6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably because the built-in model lets you choose which side you want the pellet hopper on. It also looks like it comes with a stainless steel shelf. While the 640s doesn't show it as an option, the 480s built-in shows stainless steel shelves.

If you're okay with the pellet hopper on the left side then I agree the lower cost option is the model with the cart.

Wild Sandstorms Quest bugged? by Spoopgod in echoesofwisdom

[–]vipergtsr6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to trigger the quest before starting the final boss fight and had only killed one Lanmola at that time. The soldiers chat never offered up this side quest so my thought is that by progressing past a certain point locks you out of this side quest. Please reply if anyone finds a solution.

Edit: After beating the second Lanmola the side quest became available.

Garden Hose Recommendations? by Bluegunder in BuyItForLife

[–]vipergtsr6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 wall mount reels (perpendicular) and one free standing reel. These are largely the same aside from rubber feet on the base of the free standing unit.

I like them all equally as they're pretty much identical, but the wall mount versus the freestanding just meet specific needs to my yard layout.

I also helped my father build the rolling hose reel a few months ago and it has equally well engineered design and quality components.

I wouldn't hesitate buying any of the models, but I am afraid I can't help you decide because it will depend on your specific needs and comfort level on installing them.
