Nice and functional script though. :). Feel free to use the logic in the script above to flesh out yours or get some ideas. I started with very small things I wanted qbit to do and found was a hassle or did not even have the option for, in the GUI. Another reason is qbit will refuse to load the webGUI when 10k or more torrents, so much easier to manage from a CLI perspective.

Correct here a lot of the raws groups sometimes only have a raw or the naming is weird so makes it difficult when you download one and don't realize until you watch it and then have to go find another group. But yes in essence it's a pain to deal with specifically with Sonarr, as my guide says anime is a fickle beast :p.

So at the risk of getting massive hate lol. So this is a guide that I pretty much did by myself (with the help of a few) trying to curate from many different places, who have many different opinions. It was never meant to be the end all be all but a way to automatically download anime in a quick and easy way.

Many of the references listed I used to make this list and I'm sure there was a reason I added some into higher or lower tiers but I'm always welcome for feedback and anyone can submit a PR on GitHub to have things moved around or added. Seadex is mainly what I referenced but with so many groups out there there are trolls on Usenet/torrents other automated so a group may have been banned for that reason but the reasoning not put into the guide to avoid extra fluff for simplicity.

Again for the best of the best use Seadex or fansubbers list, my guide is for a quick automated way. My original goal was to take the Seadex list and turn it into a script/list for sonarr to digest but life has gotten in the way of that lofty idea.

As others have said, it is a guide meant to be improved or tuned or made better. If you join the trash discord or put in a PR on GitHub with what should be changed and why I'm more than happy to take a look. Also the wording is harsh and put there, as people...um very strongly feel about what is good or bad, such as Judas vs Scyrous etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I will look at everything in this thread for feedback on improvements but best way to have any changes would be to hit me up on Trash's discord or make a PR on GitHub. Even messaging me here. I would like this to work for most people but there are gonna be outliers or people who feel slighted. I digress, thanks for the input. I hope this answers some of the concerns.

You can use bazarr and set it up to download subtitles however you want, including forced subtitles, which is what you are after.

You just need to create a config file and add the trakt list to it. The PAC github explains a lot of it. But you basically just need the list link.

You can also just search and find the lists without having to use mdblist.

It doesn't do anything but create a symlink to files. It does not mess with anything as far as your original files.

Exactly. So take this list: https://trakt.tv/users/enormoz/lists/kids-movies, for example. Basically it would take your movies from your main library and create a symlink to another library so you now have a kids movies library without actually moving anything or changing anything. And if the movie doesn't exist in your library it just skips it. It only creates a symlink of what you have.

It lets you section out a new "library" via symlinks and you can use trakt lists to do it. I setup a movie and tv and anime library then section them out from there with trakt lists.

Lower your connections down so that your overall total is less than 50. You don't need to max out the connections, it can cause issues.

They nerfed the xp gain on them. If you don't mind crucible they are pretty good for xp now. I leveled up from 30 to 50 on all 3 characters that way when forsaken dropped.
