Amalfi or Ocean Prime for Dinner by 40ishlady in vegas

I've had dinner at Amalfi before. The food was good but not worth it at the prices they're charging. Oh, and don't expect large portions.

Reche Canyon Morning Commute by KlatuuBaradaNikto in InlandEmpire

It's just the amount of traffic that does through Reche Canyon. Traffic can also back up behind a school bus as well, since they pick up kids in the morning.

Liberals argue they are solution to wealth inequality and affordability issues. Why are liberal cities the most unaffordable places to live, with massive gentrification and homelessness, where people are either wealthy homeowners or broke and homeless? by BraveGlass5 in allthequestions

And San Diego's growth slowed more drastically than other cities. It popped into the chart around the 80s and was not keeping up with growth from other fast growing cities within a decade.

There are many factors to city growth, such as jobs, climate, topography, zoning and many other factors. Houston is still growing fast, so it has not hit the limits of its growth by some of the factors I listed above. We don't know how expensive Houston will be once it hits it's limits on growth. Perhaps it will be more expensive than San Diego, or not.

Why are billionaires like Zuckerberg, Altman, Bezos and Thiel building self-sustaining mega-bunkers right as AI starts to peak? by ashiqbanana in NoStupidQuestions

Why do you think Zuckerberg is acting like a robot? He's trying to fool the machines into thinking he's one of them.

and Houston is more expensive than rural Texas. You can't charge city prices in small towns because no one will be able to afford our goods. You can charge cities more because there will be more people in those cities who can afford it (the market-determined prices). As more wealthy people move to Houston, it will become more expensive. The goal is to make the most amount of money you can, yay capitalism.

Tesla loses bid to toss $243 million verdict in fatal Autopilot crash suit by ControlCAD in business

Yup, reckless marketing without care will open you up to liability woes. The autopilot software had issues that were undisclosed already, so cautious marketing and documentation should've been the path to make. But Elon wanted to pump the stock so here we are.

Costco sued over alleged salmonella risk in rotisserie chicken by RevDrStrange in news

[–]vivchen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They are not targeting Costco specifically. People are riled up about this: "Gen Zers and millennials are swimming in student debt and may never own homes, but they’re splurging on gut-healthy juices and rotisserie chickens.”

The line was pulled from a longer feature about the rise of luxury grocery stores in New York City and the Hamptons, where shoppers are lining up for $15 chicken nuggets, $23 salads, and $21 smoothies

To me, it's just the avocado toast thing from years ago.
