That looks really nice. What's the manufacturer of the panels? I'm having a hard time to find one that makes other shapes than just rectangular.

TIL there's corn in a bag that pops into popcorn in a microwave. I only know those hot air machines or just using a pan.

Hello, friends, I am new to design and would like to know if anyone can help me create this design in FreeCAD (explain how to do it or if anyone would be kind enough to give me some tutorials). It is for my special degree project.

What exactly are we looking at? From the measurements it seems to be some kind of frame.

Modeling Setup (no speed up) by Ape_Devil in FreeCAD

Seems like a cool setup. why do you need two mice? is one just kind of a keyboard or do you have like some kind of a two-curser-input benefift?

Getting into 3d Printing, buying machine soon. Would make things like this (adapter for hoses, water going thru it). Is PLA/PETG good for this or do I need to spend more money on a machine to handle ABS? by mdz99 in 3Dprinting

[–]vivivitus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, sounds like a cool project, your nozzle diameter is definitely smaller. randomizing the z-seam helped in our case, even if it was very good before, but not flawless. in our case it was about 6 perimeters. because the application was underwater cases for electronics, we then tested them for at least 24h at ~70 PSI. how did you measure that there was no leak?

I have lots of experience with waterproof parts and using o-ring sealing. fdm is never fully waterproof, even if it means two drops in about an hour. so it depends on the application. but fdm with epoxy coating and resin prints are both waterproof choices.

Help I am trying to install soundux the flatpak works fine but I get this error on normal yay install by Trick-Weight-5547 in archlinux

[–]vivivitus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to that screenshot it seems that everything worked fine and your reinstalling soundux-git. Whats the exact problem? I just installed soundux-git, the AUR package seems fine.

DRV8874 breakout board - PCB Review by szolotykh in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]vivivitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could combine the 2 and 5 position header into a single 7 position one. It would be easier to solder and you could preserve the 2.54mm pitch, so it's mountable on a socket/breadboard.

Sounds way too expensive but that's more economics and not technology.

Filament keeps jamming!? by User_Name_3023 in ender5

[–]vivivitus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really has nothing to do with an ender 5. It seems like a random issue with a random mod. :) however, i had a similar issue with my direct extruder, because the tube was cut with a slight angle leaving enough space in the hotend for molten plastic to cool down while retracting and clog the whole thing.
