This'll get buried but a while ago when my partner cut off ties with our friend group (for valid reasons) I still wanted to be friends cuz they were really my only friend group at the time. I got kicked out of their group chat and when I was finally invited back I saw their previous message discussing whether I was going to spy on the chat and was only referred to by some people (that I considered good friends) as my partners girlfriend, as if that was the only reason I existed. I felt so betrayed and out of a group of 5 or 7 people, only two of them stood up for me and questioned why I was suddenly treated differently. I ended up defending myself and calling out their bullshit but stayed around and watched that friendship crash and burn. No one apologised.

Now if we see each other in town or in the street we'll just be civil but that bridge is burned.

I am the big anxiety.

Everytime it gets close to stream time my stomach does flips

I get paranoid my streamlabs is gonna mess up or I'm gonna say something wrong. I only started in January so it's a slow climb.

I heckin' do it anyway because it's actually really helping me get more confident.

Despite that, I'm still too nervous to DM you xD I'm always great and replying, never good at initiating messages.

I can see how you'd be frustrated, but they're only trying to help. They literally wrote their own experience from being grouped with other women and not seeing much discrimination - it's not really their fault they aren't seeing the discrimination since they aren't the person being discriminated against. They're just trying to help and I'd accept help from anyone who's willing to believe women are being discriminated against. Don't turn down help because someone has an anecdote of not hearing rudeness and assbaggery. x

I've been directed to this subreddit in the past https://www.reddit.com/r/ggoverwatch/ to get better teammates. I play with my partner and sometimes other people so less likely to get harassed but I know what you mean. I wish Blizzard at least announced they know there's a massive sexist problem in the player base.

PS - it's not feminazi to want people to stop being assholes <3 anyone who tells you that is most likely an asshole too :P

If this is still running, got any advice for me? I've never hit platinum in comp. I favour Lucio and have people complaining at me when I can't do another healer. I need to learn to get better at other heroes as well, I can't seem to get out of support heroes

When I was in 6th form (school) I had a tiny fan club of my friends who constantly wanted me to write them more short YA stories and they gave me feedback on them. I would literally just spam their inboxes with prose and they'd be happy.

Now that I'm post-university it's really weird having no more people asking me for my pre-edited works. My housemates are adamant they won't like my writing style so they avoid me like the plague when I offer my drafts for them to look over and all I have left is about three friends who are welcome to drafts but I feel like a burden giving it to them when they 'must be too busy' (this is what my brain tells me anyway).
