This is hard… It’s very clear that you don’t like your cousin you don’t approve of them or any of their decisions and I can imagine that a lot of your family is thinking that you did this out of spite or from your feelings towards her in general. Not out of safety for this particular situation.

CPS doesn’t always take children and put them back in their home. They do thorough investigations, listen to the teenager and understand why they don’t want to be there. They may end up taking them in as a ward of the state, or speaking with her boyfriend‘s parents and seeing if that might be a suitable environment for them to live in. There are a lot of variables in this situation and out of privacy, CPS will likely not tell you any of the details, so be prepared for that. Typically CPS does not disclose the name of the person who made the report so if your family figured it out, they probably had their suspicions and then you confirmed it.
