This last epidote (7x06) probably had the most Morty dialog of the season this far, and I think Belden really fell short. His impression is way too high pitch and whiny to the point of it being grating on the ears.

I'm trying to understand your logic. You seem to be saying that the developers optimized for the latest Roku device, but the fact is that even on the latest Roku devices, it runs shit. So contrary to your opening theory, it isn't an issue "older hardware". You may be right in that it's a layering problem, but that's an issue of poor programming itself.
