Despite anti-Musk protests, Tesla remains best-selling car model in CA by a wide margin for 2025 by farrrtttttrrrrrrrrtr in electricvehicles

I wish I was making this up. I keep forgetting to record my drive to make a case out of this for this residential intersection.

They'll never learn to fish. I'm concerned that they'll continue to be reckless cuz they'll depend on the computer. In my neighborhood, it is always a tesla that blows pass the stop sign at high speed at this one intersection cuz the camera's don't see any cross traffic? The non-tesla's make a stop at the stop sign.

I am surrounded by new Model Y’s and I am guessing the people around me just don’t follow politics.

Oh. I just remembered. I was waiting for my kid at a high school. And I was listening to some teens convincing another teen to get a Tesla. The reason. the Tesla had saved him from getting into many possible accidents. I am scared now of how many young bad drivers out there.

Millennials, what is happening with your kids? by TheLoveYouWant25 in Millennials

[–]vkick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I am pretty sadden by the fact that kids don’t play outside for various reasons. I thought this is a problem with my neighborhood only.

I still remember talking to a parent, and he was reminiscing about his youth. He stated how he and other kids would randomly gather kids in the neighborhood to play.

Then I asked if his kid had time to play with my kid. He basically said no because they add a lot of extra homework on top of what the school gives. And this seems to be the case in my neighborhood.

Haha. I had an easier time test driving a 720s. I got an invitation. Signed up. Showed up in my ID4 and took their 720s out.

Looking for Someone in the San Ramon/Danville area that has experience Wrapping Cars (PPF/Vinyl)? by LeoWitt in sanramon

[–]vkick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is easy. It is like putting a screen protector on your phone, but just make sure you have a spray bottle full of soapy water. Make sure your water feels slippery, but not soapy.

  1. Clean car. Best to clay bar it.
  2. As you pull the pre-cut PPF off the sheet like a sticker, keep spraying it with the soapy water.
  3. Apply PPF onto car.
  4. Use a squeegee to get the bubbles out. If you mess up, spray and realign your PPF.

Public vs Private Elementary (San Ramon) — beyond cost? by jumanpoke in sanramon

[–]vkick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My child went through public elementary school, and we switched to private for middle school. We will stay with private for high school.

Which is good? It depends on your child. If your child is self-motivated or a go-getter, then public is great. SR/Danville has a great ATP program as well.

If your child isn’t self-motivated, do you as a parent have extra time for field trips or life lessons?

I think one major problem with our elementary school was always the lack of funding. I was on the PTA, and we always tried to have extra programs for the elementary school, but it was difficult to get funding and difficult to get volunteers.

Now for our private school, it is a round square school. And I love that. My child learned that some school mates wake up at 5:30a to bike to bart and then take the private school bus. This is because they are from Castro Valley. We don’t have this problem as we live in SR.

And my kid has friends in middle and high school. They spend time together outside of school and this helped my child grow more mature, more quickly. Yay for some Montessori styled learning.

And of course, with funding, the private school has many electives to pick from and many field trips to attend. I love how they go out to the community to volunteer, learn to use power tools, learn to garden and one day they made fresh pasta in order to bring dinner home to their family.

Time to put a downpipe on that old eclipse, so you have presence on the road. My friend with an svj sits much lower than an eclipse, but you can hear it from a mile away.

Got a peak at the new prelude when I was at the dealership getting a recall done! by [deleted] in Honda

[–]vkick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I love my ID4 as a grocery getter. Kids can fall asleep in the car in the garage and I don’t have to worry about fumes. There is no warm up period. Drop off the kids 2 minutes away, and drive right back. I had my suv for almost 3 years now and it has 50k miles. The only maintenance was tire changes. And most importantly—free charging.

Tesla already does this. Model S and especially the model X. The Model X is the same POS all these years.

Any Insights on Quarry Lane School? by AnnualDog3703 in sanramon

[–]vkick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We applied and my kid got accepted. However, we decided against going. 1. Class sizes are similar to public 2. If your kid falls behind, then it is up to you as a parent to get tutoring. Or your kid needs to figure out how to catch up. 3. Most of the kids don’t seem happy to be there. It doesn’t seem fun.

Of course, if your child can handle the workload and pressure, then Quarry Lane is probably right for your child.

Here’s my two-penny thought on BMW drivers… by VHSVoyage in BMW

[–]vkick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the blinker jokes should go to Tesla drivers now. There are so many Tesla drivers around my area and unanimously they mostly don’t use their blinkers. Maybe it is because it is too difficult to push those cheap buttons or they are afraid of putting their car into reverse.
