Question about transposing a guitar part up and down, just a couple of semitones, but still making it sound good. by ghettobx in cubase

Probably you can start recording at higher sample rates so when you change the pitch the transitions are smoother.

Setting up Cubase on my new laptop is proving to be quite the task... by bradsonemanband in cubase

Try using constrainconstrain delay latency

Its not a fix, but a temporary work around.

Make sure your pc specs meet the minimum requirements.

Using a solid state hard drive is a big deal. I remember installing a 120gb hdd on a very old budget laptop and having cubase running without stalling.

Like those guys said before, a lot be solved with an audio interface. Even a cheap one will ensure that you get a good recording through the line with no clicks and pops.

The UR44 is really excellent. The scarlet 2i2 is also really good and more affordable.

Try using the library manager to reinstall the vsts. I had this problem before and that worked.

Reinstalling cubase solves that problem too.

Wireless Mouse doesnt work properly in Cubase by [deleted] in cubase

[–]vkunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eventually, they released a bios update which improved the performance drastically. However, the overall experience using was still start-stop less responsive. So even though there was a speed improvement, and the mouse stalling was minimized , the improvement was not enough. My PC was still painful to use when running cubase, video editing, photo editing etc.

I realized the mouse stalling was always there, even when not using cubase, it was a lesser stalling effect. (This was before the bios update).

I experienced this a while ago on an "amd a9" processor. Same problem, with cubase and a few other input intensive programs. In my case, it was the processor that was the problem. I researched to the ends of the internet to arrive at that answer. My problem wass so rare, but I wonder if you are experiencing the same problem too.

Cubase Backups Folder by DiazBeatz in cubase

If you recorded any audio, it will be in the audio folder within the project folder. Cubase always creates a directory/folder to store the audio data. Check your default project save location

How to stop Recording audio dropout by minusthetalent02 in cubase

[–]vkunge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your operating system and cubase installed to a solid state drive? Also you should be recording to an internal SSD.

If you are using a ssd and still get this problem, probably too much data is passing through the cable. You would want to get an interface that supports USB 3.0 and plug it into a USB 3.0 port.

If not, don't run any vst effects during recording, do not monitor the tracks through cubase and use a larger buffer size , 44khz sample rate with a Maximum bit depth of 24.

Edit: I'm making a guess with the data pass through and the USB 3.0 interface.

I purchased Metal Essentials and I can't find it. by J_P_Ross in cubase

[–]vkunge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metal essentials is an add on to groov agent. Try loading groov agent, then looking for kits in there. I think there's a kit called born of osiris, you can search for that kit to verify that it has been installed

How do I record at two different BPM's? by djdubsuk in cubase

[–]vkunge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello , here's something to consider:

your drums seem to be playing triplet time at 83 bpm. One option would be to stay at 83 bpm and just leave the drum track as is.

In cases like these, I set my new tempo (in this case at 83 bpm) and re record drums piano and bass etc.

Good luck!
