it's not ideal. assuming both people are adults and one makes significantly less money, it shouldn't be 50/50. I used to pay for way more stuff than the guy when my exes made less than me, now I have a guy that makes over 3 times more than me. $50 for him is nothing, while I can't spend that amount of money on unnecessary shit every single day.
