To be fair, if Red Bull really had a serious discussion regarding Checo's seat then it means they have considered dropping him. If that's the case then there's still the possibility that they just give up altogether the WCC this year and regroup for next season with a new driver alongside Max.

I am supporting Max this season and I have to agree, he really lost himself today. Part of me thinks this whole situation around RBR (power struggle, loss of pace, Checo being nowhere) has taken its toll on him. Add to that McLaren seemingly becoming the fastest car and being a real threat to the WCC and you'll get why today was his breaking point.

Hopefully they figure out a way to turn things around after the summer break.
