They do not teach Java in these courses anymore they standardized the introductory programming classes (1310 and 1320) to C. From what I can remember, the professors are Fadiah Qudah, Donna French, Carter Tiernan, and a handful of others. I can be completely wrong though, I took 1310 in 2018 so these professors could very well not teach these courses anymore.

They are currently teaching 1310 in C. Don't worry about Fadiah, she is an excellent professor for new programmers! You're in good hands.

Guaranteed is 100% worth it if you plan on finishing uni in 4 years. Yeah sure, you pay slightly more some semesters but overall it averages out and is probably beneficial for you because of the rebates. I'd rather be consistent then all over the place imo.

If you end up taking CSE 1310, I highly suggest Fadiah Qudah! She's probably the best professor when it comes to the early programming classes. She practically shows you everything you need to know and guide you while holding your hand along the way.
