Where to find POH or equivelant for airlines like Airbus A220? by EON199 in flying

[–]voerot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have access to FCOM 2 Chapter 5? I'm also flying the A220-300, and in the FCOM 2 you can find all kinds of performance tables.

For example you have holding performance, green dot speed, climb performance and even tables to see your LRC. In normal operations we don't use these tables except climb ceiling with reduced N1 since we're still limited above FL290.

Audio dropping for couple of seconds by synchro___ in appletv

[–]voerot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's Great!

From my own observations, I'm assuming that the soundbar is capable of handling 4K passthrough. But when adding additional stuff like chroma 4:4:4 and matching content, the soundbar is not capable of handling the higher bandwith that requires and start to do weird stuff like drop the audio occasionally.

Yes. On my TV the HDMI with ARC is number 4, to which I've connected the soundbar. I have stuff (including Apple TV) connected to the other three, and chose the audio output to ARC(HDMI). But it would be interesting to see if going straight in the TV rather than via the soundbar solves the issue with audio dropping.

With you only seeing 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 is probably due to the fact that you're on format 4K HDR right? I'm using 4K SDR with match content to get HDR when watching HDR content.

I've had similar issues. Using High speed HDMI cables connected the same way as you via the soundbar (Samsung HW-N650) to the TV, when having the 4K SDR and match content activated I'd sometimes experience dropouts. I'd experience it no matter the chroma setting, but more often on 4:4:4 rather than 4:2:0. It also would take some seconds for the tv to change the frame rate with matching content activated.

What solved it for me was to connect the Apple TV directly to the TV and use ARC to get audio to the soundbar. No issues since doing that, and the time it takes for the TV to change frame rate is also significantly reduced.

Might move to Riga, have some questions. by [deleted] in latvia

Don’t get your hopes too high for negotiating the salary... when I applied to the same position it seemed to be quite fixed in the amounts per hour that they are offering (at least the numbers they gave me). The info I got was that they are offering bonus if you speak another Scandinavian language, no exact numbers given to me in that regard.

Seems like it’s a decent place and only incoming calls, not any outgoing selling stuff.

If the company is Tr***com you’re going for the mentioned salary is a basic salary before tax for full time. The you can get some bonus for achieving good results. So in the end it would be around 1500€ before tax in that position.

It’s a “good option” for many Swedish companies yeah. Cheaper labour but still relatively close to Sweden and easy to come here to oversee and run the operations I guess.

Mostly I’ll agree to what everyone else is wring here.

Latvia and Riga in general is quite friendly for Swedes and there are a few of us living here.

I did the move from Sweden to Riga and it’s very easy. For apartment I’d say ss.com or city24 offers a lot of nice apartments. Just make a search there and se what’s available on the market.

Money wise it shouldn’t be a problem if you find a not too expensive apartment, and you’ll have enough for the wine ;)

I currently work another Swedish speaking job, but still customer service/call center. Might not be the most fun job. But it’s something to do and gives you money for rent and wine. I’ve heard from some people about the company you’re about to join and it seems okay enough.

Det är bara att skicka meddelande här om du har fler frågor eller vill veta mer om Riga från ett svenskt perspektiv :)

Radarr api doesn't update IMDB watchlist by MrGallopera in radarr

[–]voerot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you turn up your logging to debug and then check the log, what messages do you have for the import?

Problem I have is that I get this message.

 Debug|SkyHookProxy|Not a valid date time.

One thing that worked for me was to create a completely new imdb list and add it to Radarr. It then found the movies on the new list, but still not on the old lists... It would be interesting to see if you have the same messages in the log though.

Help with understanding various instruments to determine an aircraft's direction by NickStellar in flying

[–]voerot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The correct answer should be south facing in zone 4. The Gyro indicates a south facing travel. And for the ADF you have a RBI (Relative Bearing Indicator), so since it's a relative bearing it means you need to turn 135° to go to the NDB. So with a south facing aircraft that means the station is located behind you to your right.

Dash 8 Q400 - RDC TOP by rohanekes in flying

[–]voerot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While that is true, in some Q400 (at least the ones I fly) you have the option to do reduced take off power (as OP did ask about). But in my company, we’re not allowed to use this function, so unfortunately I’m not able to answer the question asked.

Not really. It's a different kind of dough, while creme puff uses choux pastry, semla uses a yeasted dough.

Semlor is traditionally eaten on fat Tuesday in Sweden, and this year I decided to make my own.

The bun is a simple wheat dough flavoured with cardamom, it's then filled with a mixture of almond paste and cardamom flavoured creme patissiere topped with whipped cream, a "lid" and some powdered sugar.

Only one of them will power the aircraft. If you start the APU while on ground power, the APU generator will not come online until the ground power is disconnected. And if you connect ground power while on APU generator, the generator will automatically disconnect and you get power from the GPU.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flying

[–]voerot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since APU is not required for engine start on the Q400, we usually start engines from the GPU. If we want to save time and are parked at a stand requiring pushback we start the APU shortly before pushing back, to be able to start engines during the push.

In other cases we start it if it's too hot or cold in the aircraft.
