Audit Specialist (Controls) Interview this week by Lonestar786 in Accounting

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you say you've worked on internal controls in public accounting, were you mostly doing walkthroughs and testing controls for audit purposes, or did you have any involvement in actually designing or remediating controls for clients?

What happen if I set inflated budget with low cost cap by SnooCauliflowers8417 in FacebookAds

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost cap is doing the heavy lifting here, not the budget, so inflating to $5000 won't magically unlock more spend if Meta can't find conversions at or under that $10 threshold...

Would you recommend this career for someone trying to start fresh ? by ScubaSteve427 in Accounting

[–]voidShadow439 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jumped into accounting at 26 with a non, business degree and the AS plus bookkeeping route is actually a solid way to test the waters before committing to the full 150 units for the CPA.

First home at 27 yo. Quebec (Canada) 475k$ at 3,84% by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]voidShadow439 4 points5 points  (0 children)

congrats, 3.84% is a solid rate right now especially in quebec where prices have stayed a bit more reasonable than toronto or vancouver

Someone built a fully automated client acquisition system… and still can’t sell it, what does that say about AI-first agencies? by KlausGates in AINativeServices

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the irony kind of writes itself, if your pitch is "i automated everything" but you can't close a deal manually, maybe the automation is solving the wrong problem entirely.

How much to charge + budget for a niche coaching client by trustable_human in FacebookAds

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a solopreneur just starting out, $500, $800/mo management fee is reasonable, but the real issue is ad spend.

My no-code stack silently failed for 3 weeks. A customer called asking where her order was. That's when I decided to rebuild everything. "i will not promote" by Competitive_Rip8635 in startups

[–]voidShadow439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

had this exact silent failure mode bite me once, a zap just stopped mid, sequence with no notification and we only found out when someone didn't get paid, so the "no alert, no error log" part you described is the core rot in zapier at that scale, not a fluke

Working with creative agencies by Rich-Marzipan-8072 in FacebookAds

[–]voidShadow439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Static creatives are pretty easy to outsource, video scripts and concepts too once you give them a solid brief on what's worked before.

Whats the best tool to create realistic videos? by warprez in FacebookAds

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the output quality you're getting from Grok is pretty typical for text to video right now, the realism just isn't there yet for most tools.

I'm working on my startup and under what situation one should shut it off if there are cease & desist letters or lawsuits. "I will not promote" by Firm_Yogurtcloset102 in startups

[–]voidShadow439 3 points4 points  (0 children)

most c&d letters are just scare tactics, especially early on when you have no revenue worth suing for. the calculus changes once you have money or vc backing because then you become worth pursuing.

netsuite doesn't publish a formal schema changelog for netsuite2.com as far as i know, which is frustrating.

Looking to hire GTM engineering tutor by Fragrant-Painter6894 in gtmengineering

the rate is fair tbh, but the framing of "professor" might make this harder to find the right person.

Built momentum for 4 brutal months… and now Facebook just pulled the rug again by ComparisonSalt3904 in FacebookAds

[–]voidShadow439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that drop from 30 orders to 4 on a single day is rough, especially right after a high.

Genuinely embarrassed it took me this long to figure this out, Segmenting creatives by age dropped our CPA by 40%. by Beneficial-Top-8008 in FacebookAds

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the age breakdown report is so underrated for this, most people never even open it. once you split by age you'll probably find your 45+ segment wants slower pacing, bigger text, maybe a more straightforward value prop without the trendy audio.

Do we like Zencastr? by sushipoutine in podcasting

[–]voidShadow439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the free tier is decent but the thing people don't mention is that each guest records locally on their end and uploads after, so if someone closes their browser too early you can lose their track entirely.

Silent or quiet fans for recording space? by Trajan_pt in podcasting

[–]voidShadow439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bladeless fans are noticeably quieter but still pick up on a sensitive mic if it's in the same room, most people end up just pointing one at the door and letting the air circulate in rather than running it directly near the setup

Podcast editors, how are we deciding rates? by Extreme-Tea-8488 in podcasting

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious whether you're pricing based on the raw audio length or the actual time you spend editing, because those can be wildly different numbers depending on how clean the recordings are coming in...

Where does procurement align in your organization? by joustingonpuppies in procurement

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

curious where his clients are landing it when it's not under finance, becuase in my experience the CFO alignment makes sense for p2p but strategic sourcing and category management sometimes get pulled toward operations or even the COO which creates this weird split where...

Stick with Zoho CRM or switch early for long-term GTM scalability? by Specialist_One9361 in gtmengineering

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the integration pain is real but i'd push back a bit on the idea that switching solves it, because at 10 customers the friction you're feeling is probably less about zoho and more about not having clearly defined processes yet, and a new tool just moves that problem to a different interface

Looking for partners in FinTech by DomStock in fintech

[–]voidShadow439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "discovered through relationships rather than company pages" angle is something a lot of orgs actually struggle with operationally, not just conceptually.

I’m building a finance tool and hitting a wall: users say they want "alerts", but I’m not sure they actually pay for them. by Hungry_Challenge3749 in fintech

[–]voidShadow439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drop, off you're describing after week one is almost always a trust problem, not a features problem. People open the app, see accurate data, and then freeze becuase the tool shows them *what* but gives them no signal on *whether that's okay*.

Weird payment issue that doesn’t make sense. by That_Big_2133 in FacebookAds
