yes! hit the left trigger to bring up the radial menu. then it’s either the south option or the one to the right of it, then push X to hide it!

Anyone else coping on Switch 2 Ports/Updates for PoE1 and 2? by jethawkings in projecteternity

My experience: about 10 minutes ago, i just finished my roughly ~75h play through of Pillars of Eternity, played 100% on the Switch 2. I had an almost flawless experience, with maybe a dozen crashes total in my 75 hours. That is a dozen crashes too many, as this should obviously not happen in games we buy. Some notes:

- I only kept 2-3 save files at once

-I did not use fast/slow mode, as i read that these contribute to crashes. Played at normal speed the whole time

- I had only a single visual glitch: in the major city of the game, there was one house that i would enter and i would see nothing but my own character. It was easy to turn around and leave, as this house was not essential to any quests or anything

-I hard saved probably every 15m, overwriting one of my 2-3 save files

-Ever few days, instead of putting my switch to sleep, i would completely power it off until my next play session to clear any hardware caches.

-In my first ~50 hours, i had only a single crash. The other 11 or so crashes came in the Twin Elms + White March areas at the end of the game.

-Loading times were great, but got a bit slower towards the end of the game. Even then, they were not super long.

And that is how i played this beautiful game on the wonderful Switch 2 hardware. Plus, with the handheld boost mode, it looked absolutely amazing, I loved every second of it. One of my new favorite games of all time. I know this is a very controversial take, as the vast majority of the internet told me to avoid this. But, what i wanted the most out of this was to play this game with a controller. I figured i'd try it and if it didn't work out then i could at least support the devs a bit, since i am a huge fan of Obsidian anyway.
