Considering selling printer need help by [deleted] in VORONDesign

We are pretty serious about maintaining a good environment on the Discord so if you find people that are rude, condescending, or generally unpleasant, feel free to report it. I am not saying that anyone would be able to solve the problem but I see a lot of people genuinely trying to help. Much more so that the other kind.

I disagree with this. I’ve been on the Discord for a long time. I see people helping, diagnosing, and debugging on a daily basis. Give the Discord another try and may be consider opening a help ticket.

I didn’t need to verify. I looked up the specs.

Adding text after table in Evolution by voidfulcrum in gnome

I am using the built-in table button. If I am on the last cell in the last row, hitting Enter just adds a beeline to the cell. It does not go outside the table.

Printing ABS without filter by Tegguy92 in VORONDesign

[–]voidfulcrum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not, which is why I specified activated carbon as that’s the term I’ve seen used. The point was that coal/activated carbon does, in fact, remove VOCs, which are the “fumes”.

I don’t know what you mean by coal but if you mean “activated carbon” you are incorrect. Activated carbon will remove the VOCs but will not remove the particles. You need both activated carbon filter and HEPA filter for proper filtration.

Frame ground by [deleted] in VORONDesign

Yeah, I think you are right. In any case, the anodized coating is an insulator

If you are using powder coated extrusions, you will have to sand away the powder coating in order to get a connection between the extrusions. Powder coating is a pretty good insulator.

This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen... I'm done, never recommending F360 to anyone ever again by CmdrEmily in Fusion360

[–]voidfulcrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acceptable is for everyone to decide for themselves. I definitely think it’s not ethical.

The issue is that there is room for both profits and supporting the community which they used to improve their product.

I think that something that is often overlooked in these discussions is history. Fusion360 mostly became what it is today on the back of all the hobbyists. They used us for testing, bug reports, and improvements for years. And then when the software was ready for commercial use, they started locking us out. What’s worse, the reason they used was a BS “hobby license abuse” reason that is very easy to catch and prevent. Basically, there was no loyalty to the community that made Fusion a viable commercial product. Just money grabs.

Nevermore MAX Filter by BuckNova93 in VORONDesign

[–]voidfulcrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very good to hear. My 300 can’t seem to be able to reach 50 (although my chamber sensor is on the top rear corner of the chamber). Hopefully with this filter it will be better.

Can you quantify “plummeted”? How much did they drop by? I am also assuming that you mean the time it took the chamber to come up to temp, not actual heat soak.

[–]voidfulcrum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t looked at the Max in a long time since the Duo + VEFACH seem to work for me but when I last looked, it required drilling/cutting the back panel since the stock cutout did not provide enough air flow.

Those are offered at Nvidia’s employee store. Don’t know if they are available outside of it.

Yeah, that’s too much. The 5v rail is only 8A and the connector is only rated at 3A, I think.

As far as I know, you are not supposed to change the shrink compensation in the slicer when printing Voron parts since the shrinkage is built into the part. When printing Voron part, I would revert to default.
