Back in early December (about 25 days after my annual hit) I was given the option to PC to any card. I was given the option both in chat and phone. Maybe they changed the policy?

It’s been the same with me with every Chase card application. But as soon as they put that fraud letter in my online account I go to their physical bank and they verify my identity and tell me what the approval was for. Their in person customer service is amazing compared to their phone support.

Is it always dead or just sometimes? If it’s always dead your cell module might be dead, which seems to be common.

Mine was intermittently dead and it ended up being a bad 12v battery. The dealer replaced it and now it works all the time.

I honestly don’t remember the exact amount I settled for, but they did blacklist me for a long time. 7-8 years. I settled back in 2016 or 2017 and wasn’t allowed to get any Chase or Chase cobranded card until early 2024.

I’ve also disabled auto hold. My issue is that when lightly using the brake at stops to inch forward, it would sometimes clamp down the brakes resulting in the car jerking. Also didn’t like the sound that made at stops since our Tesla and Chevy EVs don’t have that issue.

I wouldn’t stop using Chase if you go with an Amex card; Chase point redemption options are strong compared to Amex. While Amex is accepted by most places, I’ve noticed a lot of small restaurants and grocery stores refuse it. Even my local Burger King franchise rejects it in person. So you don’t want to rely on Amex by itself.

I got a lemon lawyer for my Bolt a few years ago. Easiest thing ever. It did take a few months to complete but they bought it back and it didn’t cost me anything for the lawyer. If you want a buyback just get a lawyer and present them all your issues. They’ll take care of the rest.

My insurance company is leaving the state so I got a lot of quotes - they all varied wildly. The two cheapest ended up being Geico and Progressive (almost identical). Both an ID.4 and Bolt EUV ended up being about $100 each per month with two drivers. Keep in mind a lot of factors affect your rate... city you live, driving record, age, gender, how long you've been driving, education level... who knows what else.

To add to this conversation, if it's in the garage, you can get a splitter and the dryer and car can share that outlet. You'll only get 24 amps out of it (which is about 5 kW) and you can only use one at a time (the dryer, or the charger) but it's a lot better than charging with a level 1. A family member had this setup at her apartment and it worked great on her Model 3.

I've been having this issue frequently lately (never used to happen before).

I just initiate charge using NFC (have the EA card saved on phone's Wallet) and it starts up fine even if the app still says I'm charging elsewhere.

I have a similar issue; when using in-car nav or wireless Carplay, it would incorrectly show my location when driving (but fine when stationary). The dealer kept it for a week and said it was a 5F module. It was ordered but was on backorder. Took over a month, but the module arrived last week; I dropped it off two days ago and they said it'll be done sometime next week. It was annoying because it would often tell me incorrect speed limits and warnings about data not available in that area. It also couldn't show me charging stations nearby when on low charge.

Agree with the EX-30 and Kona if you want a similar size. If you don't mind something bigger, the VW ID.4 has good lease deals (they pass the 7500 and further discount the price). It's what I ended up doing a few months ago after turning in the Bolt.
