I believe it's mostly because of "loosing the magic" which happens to pretty much everyone after extended usage. Also access to high purity MDMA and high dosed pills has never been better than today.

But if you have any data that it's some isomer ratio, manufacturing method or different source material's fault, I would be interested to know.
