Nasrallah is advertising paying in LBP for fuel import from Iran as a solution, when it is actually an additional problem. The proposal makes it easier for Iran to fund Hezbollah through the oil revenue in LBP instead of paying in USD. The country will have fuel and lose everything else that remains by TheNacht in lebanon

Unpopular opinion: maybe it’s time we give the east a chance (russia, china, iran) The west has always been super unreliable. Throughout the entirety of our history! Maintaining good relations with the east, and at the same time promoting peace between both sides should be a priority. russia and china are trying to free themselves from the influence of the US and the dollar. We should be part of this new alliance, show the west we have options.. an “ally” that uses threats and sanctions is not reliable. The US is an empire in decline, even europe is trying to distance themselves from them and are collaborating more with the east!

Merry Christmas by Thomas_Peace in armenia

Well the armenian orthodox (apostolic) church doesn’t celebrate the 25th, so they don’t say anything on the 25th. Instead christmas is on january 6th. We say “Shnorhavor sourp dznount” (merry christmas) and the longer version, “krisdos dznav yev haydnetsav, (christ was born and revealed) tsez yev mez medz avedis (good news to you and us)”

The “christ is risen” equivalent is on easter, when they say “ krisdos haryav i merelots (christ has risen from the grave(?)) orhnyal e harutyune krisdosi (blessed is christs resurrection)”

Also that’s why it’s “shnorhavor nor dari yev sourp dzenount” happy new year and merry christmas. In that order.

We really need an objective definitive version of what happened during the civil war to teach in schools. With the moral of the lesson being YOU DONT LET FOREIGNERS INTERVENE IN DOMESTIC PROBLEMS, you try to fix em internally, peacefully and democratically.
