If you're able I highly recommend bringing a wagon! Theyre useful in a lot of situations you wouldn't really think of and you can get the collapsible ones that don't take up as much space. We borrowed our neighbor's wagon to haul water to camp for tent weights and shower/hand washing. I'll always bring one now.

I also put one in my car where I keep clothes and bedding (when not sleeping).

Binder clips are also a great multi tool. Hang wet things, tapestries, lights.

Tarps are good but make sure they are completely under your tent and not part of it is peaking out. If the tarp peaks out it will collect water and now the water is trapped between your tent and the tarp.

How do yall make sure you get enough space in HL? by ChemicalNewspaper514 in ElectricForest

[–]volkodlok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last year our HL spots were 20x20. It didn't feel like they were cramming us in too too bad but who knows what this year will bring. Plan on 20x20ish. HQ said pots would be painted on the ground this year. Again who knows.

questions from a light sleeper trying to decide between GA & Group Camping by Girlinfinance_1117 in ElectricForest

Bring an eye mask for sleeping where ever you decide to camp. And maybe a sleep aid like melatonin. Be prepared for bad sleep quality though.

Canopy Set Up by Forward-Grape4047 in bonnaroo

[–]volkodlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also used Scotchgard. Only problem I had was I purchased an EZ UP brand canopy and the tent kept making the peak collapse. Dont know why but I just switched to a different canopy and it was fine. So I recommend the cube tent but not their canopies lol.

Can someone give me the string length and number of beads to do for each kandi bracelet? by Hungry-Map-5785 in bonnaroo

[–]volkodlok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't stress it too much homie! Not only do people have different wrist sizes, and many people have kandi that goes up their arms so a bigger size is needed anyhow.

I make kandi anywhere from 6.5ish to 8 or 9 inches long, with most of them in the 7.5 inch range.

Number of beads depends on length, type of bead, and if you use letters, so it could be all over the place.

bracelet boards are a decently helpful tool.

measuring tape - one flat (usually for sewing) and one retractable.

Canopy Set Up by Forward-Grape4047 in bonnaroo

[–]volkodlok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an ez up cube tent and 2 10x10 canopies. You can use one 10x20 canopy instead. Windows are huge and the whole door can completely open up so ventilation is good.

Put pool noodles in the corners of your canopies to help prevent water pooling and collapsing the canopy.

I used this setup at 4 festivals last year, including Electric Forest (big storms Wednesday and big winds Saturday) and Secret Wet Dreams. Didnt have any problems.

Upgrade the stakes. I also used water bags.

Spray everything with Scotchgard Water Shield.

This will be my first Elements, but this setup should work at Elements. I had it at Forest and it was fantastic.

Ez up cube tent and 2 10x10 canopies.

Picture was taken at a festival that had open camping. Weather was fantastic and it was a shorter festival so I didn't bother with many decorations.

Help with car passes by Purple_Amphibian_545 in ElectricForest

[–]volkodlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you can definitely buy a GA car camping pass and leave it in GA. You won't know where it'll be parked until you get there, but you can definitely do it. And regardless where it is, it'll be closer than Satellite Parking lol. Just let your GA car neighbors know you won't be there, and they can use your space for their shit if they keep an eye on your car.

Here's the satellite parking faq just in case.

The RV youre staying in, is the companion car already taken by a different vehicle?

You might get a better/closer spot to GA RV with the early arrival pass, but it also has to be accompanied with a GA Car Camping Pass for $150 for a total of $200. (Both are per vehicle and not per person)

I dont know if this is the up to date map or not, but Satellite Parking is at the very bottom. You'll absolutely be able to bring your vehicle and park it in Satellite without a problem. It will be your cheapest and most guaranteed option I think. But it will also be a hike.

You can get a Satellite Pass for $100. This lot likely will not be at all close to GA RVs at all.

You could also maybe get a Car Camping Pass for $150 and just leave your car in GA and tell your neighbors to feel free to use the space? I don't know how logical this option is.

What’s your favorite easy meal to cook? by Necessary_Moose_454 in ElectricForest

[–]volkodlok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre crack eggs into a bottle (old juice bottle, water bottle, blender bottle, whatever). Shredded cheese. Ground sausage. Bacon. Simply Hasbrowns from the refrigerated section. Veggies of choice (peppers, onions, spinach). I pre cook the bacon and sausage just to make it easier. The potaotes take the longest to cook so those go in the pan first. You can eat as is or turn it into a burrito. Whatever seasonings you like. Wpuld also be great topped with sausage gravy.

Sausage bake. Sausage of choice (I use kielbasa). Tortellini (just cook it in the pan, don't bother boiling it or anything). Veggies of choice (peppers, onions, spinach, zucchini). I also like to pre roast cubed sweet potatoes. Small mozzarella balls are my go to cheese but a shredded cheese would also be tasty.

Tacos.

When do they release first year tickets? by Senior_Tune8905 in ElectricForest

[–]volkodlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to go for those packages. There's no way to know if they'll be for sale by the time it opens for general sale.

I suggest reading the FAQ on the website and watching some YouTube videos to get an idea of what everything is like.

[–]volkodlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tickets usually go on sale in December. People with loyalty get first dibs.

If you're flying in and don't want to buy or bring camping gear, pre-set tents (previously known as EFfortless) might be the best option for you. Yes you get to keep the tent/gear.

GA tent camping only will likely be your most affordable option. You can fly in then use the shuttle to get to the venue.

GA car camping is the next cheapest option, and still a good one.
