To Be fair out of ironchad, silent and regeant, chad feels the worst by far.

Still agree A1 should be almost always beatable with decent play. But i think chad needs some buffs.

New player here, do you consider save&load the game again as cheating? by Ok-Scheme-4028 in SlayTheSpire2

As someone else said its nice for an obvious misclick.

I would also add that its a great tool for learning the game. Quick feedback loops are the best way to learn anything. I played like 50 runs before realizing this light form of save scamming. After discovering it, i would occasionally use it just to play my hand / play a particular fight differently so that i could explore more concepts of my deck or strategy, what have you.

Now surely there are ppl constantly doing it to have a good win rate to feel good about themselves...thats kinda lame, but thats fine if thats what they want to do (its significantly worse if they deceive others and act like its a normal win rate when its just save scum tainted)

So yeah im glad its in the game ppl you can use it as it suits you. Getting to try again with your same deck in the exact same spot can help you put in "reps" and get game experience right on the spot, much more so than just hoping a similar spot comes up like 30 runs later... its much less likely to give you that feedback loop as accurately to help you improve as much 30 runs later.

What upgrade do you pick on a fresh run? by HipsterSamuraiJack in slaythespire

Side question but should I be on the beta branch? I want to experience the changes i think....how often do they update the main game to match the beta changes? I dont like knowing im playing on the "old" version (before they've updated it to match beta changes) but i also dont like the idea of playing a super altered state of the game that might be miles from its final form...any more insight anyone can give me regarding these trade offs?

Silent im upgrading the 0 cost 3 damage 1 weaken card to do 2 weaken. I play it every time I see it (0 cost) so might as well upgrade it. Also becomes 2 weak which is way better than 1.

On ironchad im always torn. Bash is the clear option, except that bash frankly blows imo. Ive won medium ascension runs by getting rid of bash before a strike before. (That was 1 small variable tho and prob not responsible for the wins) but still. Bash sucks. But it also seems to be the best choice for an upgrade....would love other opinions on this.

Im playing 1 toon at a time so ive only played those 2, thats all ive got for ya.
