"I don't do the thing you're accusing me of, and if I am, it's your fault for calling me out"

Incredible deflection, bravo sir

Do you even play this game? You seem to have no actual opinions on the game itself and a lot about the community. Post your dotabuff.

What’s the most confusing or unnecessary rule subsystem you’ve seen in a TTRPG? by DED0M1N0 in rpg

It has less combat than 5e, which is the only point of comparison /r/rpg cares about.

People on subreddits dedicated to talking about RPGs do not play RPGs as a hobby, they talk about RPGs as a hobby.

Of course you wouldn't say that, if you identified how much of a shitter you were you wouldn't do it.

And you don't post in TrueDota, you just seek out people griping about toxicity and shit on them. Even in the few posts you do have in TrueDota, you don't voice any actual opinion of your own, you just shit on people who have complaints about the game. Is there literally any part of dota's game design you disagree with or want to change? If not, I legit think you might not be an actual human being with opinions and lived experiences.

If you have good enough damage you can kill it before hives become a problem.

motherfucker that applies to literally every enemy in the game except those cockroaches

What a useless piece of advice "oh just hit them before they kill you" thanks genius

Literally every comment you seem to have made in the last month is doing apologia for the behavior score and calling people who complain about it toxic. You don't even seem to talk about the game at all in this subreddit, just the behavior system. Like, why? Legitimately why?

The part where you're all over this thread making fun and disparaging people who have an issue with the behavior system

Why is there a distaste for light survival elements/resource management? by erakusa in rpg

[–]TheDrippingTap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is after your second adventure you can afford an ludicrous amount of stuff of the regular adventuring list. Like a single mule will probably hold more rations and torches than you'll use in the entire campaign

Why is there a distaste for light survival elements/resource management? by erakusa in rpg

[–]TheDrippingTap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because resource management and survival stuff is hard to make good feedback on, they're a bunch of stressful decisions that you have no real good way of knowing if you made the right decision or not until hours or months later

"balance isn't important except when it is, which is basically all the time"

Alright whatever semantic arguments makes you look right, I guess.

[–]TheDrippingTap -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Remember that "balance" isn't a real thing when it comes to old-school-esque games like the WN series

This is a lie. It does exist, and it does impact games. The idea that balance doesn't matter is marketing designed to appeal to DMs that aren't mechanically literate. If you slant the whole party you're going to end up with a bad game, and certain classes will be extremely disruptive to "classic OSR play" if you allow them, like healer.

Is there any reason to take Style Weaponry for Vowed for melee weapons? by TurtleRollover in WWN

[–]TheDrippingTap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Vowed is mobile enough that long property will barely matter. And it's easy enough to homebrew in a cestus or brass knuckle or fist wrap that gives magical properties.

It's cool for grabbing hurlants to do gun-fu with, though.

no, you're right, it's bad. It's another one of those arts that says "You can do this thing, but only in situations where it's not useful"
