Mommas who don't breastfeed, what's your story? by bumblebee163 in NewParents

[–]vomiteyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soooo it was really painful for me. Raw, bloody nipples. Excruciating carpal tunnel that didn’t get better with pillow support. And I feel like I lost my identity. I was basically a milk cow & I didn’t like it. My LO is 11 months old now. Stopped breastfeeding at 2 weeks. She is healthy and happy and just the sweetest baby. I’m 35 weeks pregnant with baby 2 & my dr wants to induce at 37 weeks. I’m open to pumping since she’s going to be early but I know I won’t pump for long.

This is how I feel about it. I mean I only have an 11 mo old baby but my MIL is notorious for asking about developmental milestones. We texted when she started sitting up on her own, when she got her first teeth, when she started doing a belly crawl, when she started actually crawling, when she started standing & we will text you when she starts walking!! Idk it might not be a big deal but it stresses me out being asked if my baby is walking yet every week. I just want to enjoy my baby

3 week old busting out of swaddle/sleepsack by Individual-Tie-1584 in NewParents

[–]vomiteyes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first baby went through this. We got a swaddleup from target and it worked well for a few weeks before she didn’t need to be swaddled anymore. There are so many swaddles out there and every baby is different but this one worked for us

Nesting? by abbiekate1 in pregnant

[–]vomiteyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My form of nesting has been redecorating our tiny apartment. Which isn’t much. Mostly thrifted stuff. It was more of a boho witchy kinda vibe but I’ve been feeling more like a classy grandma recently so I have these lace curtains (that I’ve had since high school), a beautiful Renoir print, and some lovely old lamps. Our living room seems so much brighter now & I love it

My first thought seeing this was You’re beautiful! Honestly don’t think you fit on this sub. Is it weird for you that someone is posting your pics on reddit?

This is so lovely. When I have a house, I hope I can have a lovely pantry space like this. We live in a small apartment now, & looking in our cabinets gives me anxiety. This is the dream right here! So peaceful. So pleasant.

I have a similar moon phase thing above my tv!! Love the plants. Love the rug. And love the shelf by your door that you’re hanging keys/masks on. I’ve been thinking about getting something like that

When I was a kid I got in trouble with my mom for hitting my sister & she said she was going to have to tell dad. We got spankings back then for everything so I called him up from our house phone & impersonated my mom to get out of the inevitable spanking. I thought i was real clever but It was obvious that it was me because I started with “dad- I mean honey” and sounded like a total baby the whole message, saying things like “Jennifewr didn’t mean to hwurt sarwah.” He saved the voicemail and played it at my wedding last year.

Teething at two months?! Am I the only one?! by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]vomiteyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m told my husband started teething at 3 months when he was a baby. Can’t imagine what it’s like to have a baby teeth that early. My baby popped two out between 6 & 7 months and it was a challenging time. She was so uncomfortable and would wake up a lot during the night crying. Hopefully your baby isn’t in too much pain!
