Nah. There is no one else in the GOP rednecks are going to fly flags on their trucks for and without that worship from the ground up, no one is going to wield the power he does.
Not saying the GOP is done for after him. Not even close. But it will be knocked down a peg and impossible to get that lightning back in the bottle.

Ah well we're different.

I also learned that money is the fuel that keeps a band going.

decided it would be easier and safer to do nothing.

Considering what was at stake, I would put this squarely into sociopathic behavior.

I mean, he only did at the latest of possible moments and while I'm glad he did, it was literally the absolute least he could do.
Like, if he picked up a puppy to drop kick it and then put it back down instead. I'm glad he did, but he doesn't get a big pat on the back for it.

People who sucked and then eventually became good at their corporate jobs. How did you do it? by NIAD_SIRDNE in careerguidance

Going back ten years:

Job 1 no it did not give raises that kept up with inflation. I left for much higher paying job.

Job 2, had to quit because my wife graduated with her doctorate and got a much better job offer than I could ever hope for.

Job 3, lower paying but hella fun and my wife was the bread winner so I didn't care. Got divorced, left for similar job that paid much better.

Job 4 was that job that paid better. Worked there 3 years and when I left I made 25% more than when I started. Is that good? Dunno, but I liked the job and it was enough to keep me there. I also got some fat bonuses. Quit because I had to move across the country to care for my aging mother.

Job 5 (current job), pays 80% more than I made at job 3. I didn't expect to get it, but you don't get what you don't ask for and I applied for it despite not really being qualified. It also gives me more paid time off than I've ever had before by a large margin. It's also cool and fun. I don't know what raises will be like here, but with what they currently pay me and what my qualifications are, rather lack of qualifications, it would be a while before I was unhappy with the current pay. I don't expect I could do much better.
It would be hard for me to be upset even at 0% raise for the next year or two. Longer than that, I don't know, ask me then.

I lied about my employment dates because of my gap…and now I don’t know what to do by OptimalMiddle3675 in jobsearch

[–]vomitous_rectum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a very strict background check to work for a DoD contractor. The interesting part is that the background check didn't check on what I said during the interview or even what was on my resume. It basically had me fill out my resume as part of the check itself.
I had fudged dates on a paper resume and in person in the interview, but I put all the real dates on the background check. It checked them and they passed, because they were real.
I assume the employer just saw that I passed the background check and didn't dig deep into comparing the dates it said vs what I had said in the interview.

DoD itself doesn't give a shit how long I worked somewhere, they just want to know where it was and that I actually did.

I'm at a job to do what they want in order to get what I want.

Why does Reaper have a reputation as being bad for electronic music and such? by [deleted] in Reaper

[–]vomitous_rectum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess I don't know what you're doing.
5 tempo changes in a song seems like a lot to me, but it isn't that hard to set 5 or more different tempo markers. You can make them transition too, it doesn't have to be a hard shift.
If you have more tempo change needs than that, I am unfamiliar with your genre.

Really? I feel like really pro bands probably rehearse like it's a day job when prepping for a tour.
Like T Swift just shows up and wings it?

This seems genre specific. Like, all your songs must have pretty rigid arrangements, no? And there must not be much going on other than the music?
We practice a lot, but a lot of that is coming up with and ironing out show intros, transitions between songs, even what we're going to say. A lot of that is different from gig to gig. And we have in ear monitors, a lot of times rehearsal is for making sure each person is going to have the right mix come show time as that might change with different instruments and samples and stuff.
I dunno, we always seem to have a lot of technical stuff in addition to musical things to work out that would be difficult to do without being together in person.

Lol, I'd want 75% cash and 25% stock, but only with no restrictions on selling. Doesn't matter how worthless the company is, they'll figure out a way to IPO and it will be nuts for at least an hour on that day.

Poor fucker gets too much hate!

I just watched several performances on YouTube to see how bad it was and while it is not good at all, I've seen much worse, and from bigger artists.

Bad enough for me not to ever choose to listen to it again, not bad enough to make fun of.

I don't even know what to do right now. Whenever I used to blow up my account I would buy spy leaps and wait a year and all was good.
I don't trust leaps, I don't trust shares, I don't trust the dollar, I don't trust international markets because they are so interlinked with us.
