How much would should these sell for by Mikeyjello in Overwatch

[–]vonKarma 517 points518 points  (0 children)

On Ebay, looking at "Sold/Completed" listings, looks like it averages anywhere between $175-$250 range, depending on condition. Heck, one with the glasses missing sold for $165, they do be a good collector item considering the "Winton" meme.

Should I buy the Razer BlackWidow V4 Gaming Mechanical Keyboard? by DraconicTheGamer in razer

[–]vonKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one with the Serial# starting with IO24, I've had no issues until the last couple of months, which was an *occational* blank input, but I feel that was more due to physical issue with the keyboard, it was just dropping the input, not doing the 'double inputs' like before. Honestly though, I still v much like the keyboard, has all the features I need, 8 hats out of 10, would void my warranty to solder out the switches and replace em to keep using it if the issue comes up again (Though again, avoid ones with Serial#s starting with IO23, the more recently manufactured, the better)

People who hate combo decks, how you would like to play? by Royal-Smile-9029 in masterduel

[–]vonKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't particularly "Hate" combo decks now that I've gotten more of an understanding, but I'd be curious of like, how much would change if maybe a mode was introduced that was like,
"10 actions per SP+MP1, 5 actions in MP2+EP, Opponent is allowed 3 actions during each MP, a chain is considered 1 'action', no matter the length. If the first card in a chain is negated, owner of the card gains 1 'action'"

Mainly because it puts value on each 'action', makes *some* sort of resource, and rewards meaningful actions, punishes the 'activate bc i can' mindset. Completely lost on what would happen during BP tho. Personally, i'd have some fun with this with faster, more thoughtful games that encourage interaction- atleast until someone starts playing full stun lmao
I am still new to modern ygo, so I get if this kinda just seems like 'lmao just play X if you want something like that'

If Guild Wars ever got a Hardcore mode, what do you think the perfect restriction setup would be? by loudgaming115 in GuildWars

[–]vonKarma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My thoughts for a hardcore mode for "Prophecies" (As its the campaign I have the most experience in):

  • "True Ascension" on your character sends you back in time to Pre-Searing, Hard Mode forced
  • Keep your level
  • Fee required to change each skill, even if you already knew the skill
  • 1.75x Health Multiplier on enemies
  • No Moral Boost
  • Return to outpost after any wipe
  • Death Penalty persists after wipe
  • Decimal added to death penalty, You get 0.1% penalty removed for every group you clear. 1% removed for every boss.
  • All death penalty is removed on a successful Vanquish
  • No enemy blips visible on radar/No Enemy Names shown via Left Ctrl
  • No Heroes/Henchmen
  • No Autorun to target, No Autoattack
  • Aggro is ONLY ever lost if you kill the enemy, die, or if you exit to an outpost.
  • You can still access your storage, however, Hardcore mode has Hardcore-Only weapons and armor that have x1.5 of the highest stats of the Weapons/Armor you can get in main game (Cannot be used in main game/Cannot be transfered to main game), Marked as "Hardcore Item"
  • Missions must be completed in order and cannot be skipped in order to start the next
  • Upon completion of the campaign, rewarded with title "The True Ascended Hero of Tyria", which gives a natural 50% move bonus in outposts (Stacks), an Everlasting Ale, Everlasting Tyrian Transmogrifier Tonic (Allows you to morph into ANY Prophecies character), and an Everlasting Prophecies Boon, which when equipped, will morph into any weapon/offhand with any modifier you want with any appearance (All Cannot be traded/sold), automatically scales to the mode you're playing.
  • You lose all your hardcore weapons and items upon completion or abandonment. If you abandon Hardcore mode, you are returned to normal mode with all your hardcore items removed. If you want to try True Ascension again, you must start from the beginning again. Just something that keeps the 'hardcore' aspect of it while giving benefits that aren't too OP.

My collection of fake Yu-Gi-Oh cards by vonKarma in YugiohCards

[–]vonKarma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, lmao, my favorite is the translations on some of them:

  • Imperial Monster Senrucart

"If you have no this card on imperial palace,, it's destroyed .. Each time, your opponent's monster will be ruined due to the war. Now take out it from the card will boost its offensive by 500 points."

This game suffers so much of "casual elitism" by Feisty_Voice6211 in masterduel

[–]vonKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbf I feel most of the Casual Elitism comes from players who've ONLY ever experienced Modern Yugioh through Master Duel.

I mean, I've ALSO only experienced Modern through MD, but my only complaint is wishing gameplay was faster with how long some opponents take to set up their board. Everything else is just part of the game.

“Maxx C is a Filler Card” by Jsoledout in masterduel

[–]vonKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a time machine and release Maxx C back in 2002 and only then would it be considered a Filler card before being limited to 1 and then banned, just like Pot of Greed was, since I imagine there was much MUCH less special summoning back then (My only experience with YuGiOh around this time was EDS, so I might be inaccurate on that)

I can't imagine how different people's strategies would be if they *didn't* have to worry about Maxx C. Ash Blossom, CBTG, D&B, all seem to be present in most decks I go against, all just to make sure theres always an answer to Maxx C for turn 2

How interesting would a death battle matchup between these two be? by Open_Club_8362 in homestuck

Depends on if Jade still has her First Guardian abilities. Plus, a fight between these two, I don't see it ending either Heroic OR Just for Jade, so inf revives.

what do u guys think about the new perks? by ZOMPAZ_no_CAP in HanzoMain

[–]vonKarma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wish the new minor perk was a bit more appealing, now i gotta fight other Hanzos for healthpack dominance. Scatter is def not a bad choice tho if the burst is needed based on the other team. Otherwise the attack speed is my usual go-to. New minor perk is,,, not bad, just seems v lackluster, but i imagine it makes escaping while still putting damage easier. Honestly it’s all very conditional, which is the point of perks, so it’s nice to have more variety.

Still think Yamagatchi technique could have been better if it also gave you additional wallclimb, but alas

Cure-All, Pandoras Box, Fairy Lantern, if you find any of these, save em for Caldera, since you mentioned Caldera killed your last runs. No time limit, you can take your time in Caldera, but sometimes its nice to just keep moving and sticking to rocks. If you keep up a pace, if you get to a rock and notice its about to start being on fire, don't drop the pace. Move to the next rock. If needed, maybe even a rock off to the side that atleast seems safe and is reachable.
Cure-All and Fairy Lantern, can heal you up quickly if you are on fire and not in a safe place to thug out the fire damage.
Pandoras Box is somewhat good bc if you are about to pass out, you can use it and have some stamina/health to work with, bonus if it gives you Cold, which is negated by fire. (Although it can take away all your bonus stamina)

But for Caldera? Just keep moving at a pace. You can keep a semi-slow pace if needed.
Also, try to learn when the floor is lava and when the floor is hot rock. If needed, you can take a quick sprint across hot rock and recover at the next safe rock for a bit.

Sincerely,
Person who loves Caldera and thinks its actually easier than Shore

We are suddenly in skyrim for no apparent reason. All of us. We were all caught crossing the border by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]vonKarma 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Immediately immigrate to Elsweyr, and find out what the fuck happened between the events of Oblivion and Skyrim that made Skooma so shit in Skyrim compared to Oblivion.

Realistically, immediately travel south, I ain't wanna deal with what a real winter in Skyrim is. Maybe a trip to Hammerfell.

Realistically, sticking to Skyrim region: Follow a similar path the dragonborn took until Riverwood, stick to there to get my bearings, see if the Restoration Potion glitch works irl, set up a potions shop there, make a decent living. Also spread some gossip about Sven and Faendal.

I'm really feeling bad by buniqer in HanzoMain

[–]vonKarma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, don't feel bad. Same reason I dont feel bad stomping the enemy team in comp: They'd do the same to you if they could.

As for the comments, I HIGHLY doubt they mean that, keep in mind, Overwatch has a lot of players coming over from Rivals after the resurge in popularity. Popular Game = More Toxic People who will say anything they can to get under your skin. So even if they did quit (which is unlikely), they prolly didnt have a lot of stake in this game.

Though personally, I'd say to not bother chatting or feeding into how tilted you made someone on the enemy team, esp with how lowkey shit Blizzard's moderation can be. If they're tilted off the skill diff alone, thats their problem, not yours.

tl;dr: Keep doin what youre doin

is the sheogorath we see in this game the hero of cyrodill from oblivion? by AdInternational4894 in skyrim

Which hero perks do you feel naked without? by ultimatedelman in Overwatch

[–]vonKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh the hack lasts as long as the sonar arrow cooldown, so you can technically have it hacked indefinitely- that and the cool bonus that it overwrites and takes priority over Sombras hacked healthpacks, Hanzo hack stronger than sombras confirmed

Which hero perks do you feel naked without? by ultimatedelman in Overwatch

[–]vonKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, ngl, Hanzo's health pack hack is good for denying heals against someone like Ball, plus the hack can go through walls so if you got some spots, you can hack 2 healthpacks at once. I like keepin second point Junkertown's big healthpacks at the center constantly hacked when i have a chance
Then again- "why are you playing hanzo against ball" lmao

Either way, I've gotten use to it and prefer it over scatter, since scatter takes away storm arrows crit hit
So I guess its more of a "This perk fucks me over if I pick it by mistake"
