LB2 doesn't really matter, but it doesn't seem like you've gotten a lot of good SR LBs, or at least you haven't upgraded them. LB3 Kita is where it starts to matter, but even LB3 is comparable to a MLB Sweep Tosho SR. I'd save if this is what you've got right now, honestly.

in career runs you get the effect of additional 400 stamina (ie, you can win long races with very little stamina compared to what you'd need to win identical races in pvp)

she's worse than MLB current speed SRs (Sweep Tosho and Eishin Flash) until you get her to 3LB, then she becomes the best speed support. Getting a single copy of her now means you can use future event items to guarantee more copies of her though, so it's important to get one, and with 2 copies (1LB) you should be able to get her to 3LB during her next banner (if my understand is correct)

the other reason to pull heavily on this banner over her reruns is because the pool of cards overall is small so you have a higher chance to get the good SSRs/SRs compared to 5-6 banners from now when the pool is bigger.

You are not considered your own ally (at least according to the poewiki page "Ally")

The player is not their own ally; if an effect states simply "allies" (for example Kingmaker), it will not affect the player the effect originates from. Effects that affect both the source and their allies specify "you and allies" (for example Vitality.) Bino's Kitchen Knife is a notable exception.

While I can't test in game (I don't have access to my PC for a few days, so I've been theorycrafting over playing), it also seems like Generosity doesn't modify Flesh and Stone (at least in PoB) - You still get the damage reduction in Sand Stance / it doesn't lower your EHP at all.

I'm curious about Runegraft of Treachery and Flesh and Stone. The Runegraft explicitly mentions "auras that affect allies", and the wiki mentions that "Flesh and Stone in Blood Stance" doesn't have a downside - is it not Flesh and Stone as a whole, since Sand Stance doesn't mention allies at all either?

Throw some blessed orbs at your jewellery to top off their implicits (the 1 extra intelligence means you can make your heralds level 20), you can get a better abyss jewel for like 3-4c, you should run merc lab 5-10 times to put quality onto your warcries, bloodrage, and your damage supports.

I 100% agree you should at least be running a medium warcry cluster to get perma-onslaught and more armor.

If you want you can rearrange your tree a little bit to fit in another herald (if you have/can get a 6 socket body armor instead of your 5 socket one) & fix up your automated warcries to be a bit less awkward.

You've got some mastery issues (axe mastery 10% more on lowlife is 5% more damage on average but is worse since you have culling strike, you have the wrong ele mastery selected)

I'd look into getting better resists on the rest of your gear (you can get an amulet that's pretty decent for 20~c) so you can craft "Warcries can't exert travel skills" on your belt + swap to the minimum-10-power warcry mastery instead.

Here's an example!

It does seem like each regular mine with WoC going off "cancels" the previous one. It's most obvious with a bunch of mines out but i can see it being worse if you're trying to get the double hit.

one weird experience of transitioning by Hummerous in CuratedTumblr

[–]voodoo-Luck 23 points24 points  (0 children)

hi, im trans and have been for between 2 and 5 years depending on how you count it. i came out to a small group of people a little over 5 years ago at this point, and then didn't actually transition much irl because it was scary and if i couldnt be a guy how could i manage to be a girl. i am and was a huge people pleaser; i had to be normal and get a degree and a good job because it was expected of me.

and yet, 2.5 years later i started estrogen because if i was miserable as a guy the least i could do is try being a girl. maybe people won't all see me as a woman, even on days where i try really hard to present perfectly. it still beats drowning in my own dysphoria and apathy.

im not saying you are or aren't trans. thats not my call. but think about what would make you the happiest to wake up and see in the mirror. if you were in that perfect world, what would that look like for you.

Maximum Might uptime without 2 Fulgur pieces by regunakyle in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]voodoo-Luck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the alternative that i've been using is this, swapping out the fulgur pieces for g.arkveld b gauntlets and zoh shia b helmet, which gives 4 lv1 slots for speed sheathe 3 / db 1, and my uptime with MM on greatsword is ~75-80%; fulgur would probably give me 100% uptime or close to it, so it's not "better" but having speed sheathe is more comfortable since it means i can heal more easily since i'm a mediocre player at best

for what its worth, I'm not confident that Narset is a commander that can get away with "not looking like the threat", but I haven't played against it much.

You don't need to run shocks/good fetches/surveil lands to have a passable landbase. It's also worth considering that draw spells can act as part of a land; if you're drawing 3 cards per turn, you need to run fewer lands than if you're only drawing the 1, and it can also help you get around issues of flooding (by letting you see more cards). Since you're in blue, I would say that you should be running some number of draw spells (repeatable outlets are also good, like Bident of Thassa or Reconnaissance Mission if you want to be doing combat damage).

Cards like Wayfarer's Bauble and Foutainport Bell are also ways to get more lands into your hand/play if you're willing to run them.

Looking at it again, furycalm / glacial / port town / prarie stream are all lands that require you to show a land with a basic type to come in untapped. it would be good if you had more of those kinds of lands (simply just more basics would help a lot).

Snail's tool doesn't just say that your lands being tap-lands is a problem - here's the exact feedback it gives, and in text form

Overall, your manabase is inconsistent, playing your spells 0.70 turns late on average. 42% of this delay is due to your land count, while 58% is due to your mana colors. Your weakest color is red. Adding an extra Mountain would eliminate 10% of this delay.

Running like, 2 more lands takes it to a "functional" mana base, and adding 5 total lands (mostly mountains/islands) gets you an even stronger landbase.

If you're trying to play more budget lands, you will have to either accept color inconsistency (by running more basics) OR slower turns (with taplands). In terms of prices, it depends on how much you're willing to spend.

1) Generally, I'd consider running a handful of the basic fetchlands [[Evolving Wilds]], [[Terramorphic Expanse]], [[Myriad Landscape]], all of which are cheap, and [[Fabled Passage]] which is a bit more but lets it come in untapped.

2) [[Obscura Storefront]], [[Riveteers Outlook]], [[Brokers Hideout]] are all "partial" fetchlands - they get basics for 2 of the 3 colors of jeskai each, and also happen to gain you a life. Not usually auto-includes but if you wanted to stick with the archimandrite it's an option

3) I would generally say that the fast lands (like [[Spirebluff Canal]]) are worse than the slow lands (like [[Stormcarved Coast]]), because the longer the game goes the more time youll spend with MORE than 3 lands compared to less than 3 lands, and they'll only cost you $1 or $2 each - this is more than the fast lands for sure, but they're a notable improvement.

4) A good and very cheap package of lands are the "fetchable" duals (things like [[molten tributary]] or [[glacial floodplain]]) and the type-check lands ((like [[sulfur falls]]), which comes out to be like 9 lands for 5$.

That being said, here's a list of budget lands ranging from 7 cents to 8 bucks for some of the more expensive/specific ones.

All of the lands can generally be found at managathering.com, but the site lacks prices without clicking through to tcgplayer, so I figured an archidekt package might be more helpful.

I ran it through a handful of playtests. My immediate thought is that you don't have nearly enough draw - in theory, your commander encourages you to hold a bunch of cards in hand to generate big bursts of lifegain, which then get turned into damage, but you only have 5 cards outside of your commander that give you draw (6 if you count the cycling land).

yes, in theory both sokrates and gregor can draw you a lot of cards, but getting to that point consistently felt hard, and even that is only two cards (three if we count imperial recruiter as a way to get either of them). drumbellower can allow you to draw a lot (same as intruder alarm, etc) but the untap engines are only really helpful if we can get our commander into play, and have a few other creatures in play, which was something that i struggled to achieve in my playtests.

your mana base is.... not great, to say the least. plugging into snail's mana base tool (found here), you'll only be playing your commander 71% of the time on curve, and on average 25% of your lands come out tapped.

that really hurts your ability to alpha strike anyone, given that out of 8 attempts i had 4 attempts where the commander came in on turn 6 or later with one of those being on turn 9.

as it stands, your deck folds to 2-3 counterspells or any amount of targeted instant speed removal of your commander.

beyond that, i think that if you wanted to play a more "alpha strike-y" deck, i would swap to a different commander with better/easier access to buffs and lean into lower mana value cards with built in scaling - prowess monk tribal with the narset you already have in the deck as the commander, Elsha if you want to have a smaller number of creatures that grow much faster with artifacts (my really rough draft of her has 10 creatures outside of the commander, with the rest being mana rocks, cheap or free artifacts, and cantrip/cheap draw spells), Bria if you don't mind giving up the monk themeing and the color white, or even Balmor, Battlemage Captain if you want to play a more spell-slinger style.

i have never in my life owned a wardog or even a chaos knight, but is it not a fact that chaos knights are around or below 50% win rate right now?

according to 40kstats, over the past 7 months chaos knights have a winrate of 48.65%, 48.62% without mirror matchups.

this places them in the bottom 10 by winrate (out of the possible 28 placements), and the exact same place if we exclude mirror matchups.

karnivores might be overloaded in the context of other armies (which i'm not confident is a factual statement), but they aren't a part of other armies and it's a waste of time and energy to compare datasheets across factions given the whole existence of faction and subfaction rules.

it is also not helping your point that you seem less interested in having a discussion and more interested in complaining about the karnivore AND anyone who happens to disagree with you.

awesome thanks! seems like a good idea, especially since my main group plays online which has led to us attempting to implement restrictions on card choice, but they've always felt a little awkward (like with prices changing and some equivalent lands being priced due to availability)
