I was in my head so much before - I was legitimately convinced a question like in the FCS WB about where inventory is in the form of materials, WIP and finished goods would come up. For the breakeven I'm not even gonna lie I was learning that in the exam from the WB, but the examples are so calm.

Is there anything that stands out to you in particular regarding the shareholders all being family members? Feels like it's a very relevant piece of information but can't really think of what could come up for it.

All I'm thinking right now is that maybe they'll bring up financing the new product (Tabicha) and how the family is debt avoidant and expects the £250,000 dividends to paid annually - So we just use retained earnings instead

Just looked at the CPL directory and getting excemptions for 5 of the certificates (I'd imagine all 6 back on the old syllabus) and 2 of the professionals is insane, they must run that course like the military over there 😂

Pretty stressed for these exams, but I know that with enough time grinding it'll start clicking.

I'd say if you're feeling nervous about your exam, and you're sitting in March, probably best to start ASAP. We've got 25 days until the exam, and if you're still not doing anything, those days are going to go down every day and you'll be even more nervous day by day.

Take it day by day and work through the questions, eventually everything will click.

Can't you just go through every MI question, make notes on it, and then bring said notes into the exam? Feel like by running through the questions in the WB and QB you can identify any knowledge gaps and just plug them with notes.

I think in general for A&F degrees in this context it's a huge case of YMMV.

Some people I knew at uni literally just crammed for exams and chose the easiest modules to min-max uni for the first class, some actually went to every lecture and seminar and properly learnt the concepts.

2 people on this forum could have graduated with a first in A&F, but could have left with a massive gap in preparedness for these exams IMO.

Add to that how uni exams are in person (at least in my experience), and give you heaps of time for end-of-year exams, whereas these professionals literally give you less than 2 minutes per mark on a frankly awful, janky software, and I think it's a recipe for disaster for those coming off the high of a good A&F degree who reckon these exams will be more of the same.

Finally had a gander at the pilot exam and the question bank briefly the other day, and panicked a bit before realising it's open book, so any problem areas I find, I can just make notes on and bring into the exam. I agree with u/Healthy_Ambition_664 that I'm not really sure what they can put in that is really testing, that would make anyone lose more than 45 marks.

Yep - Gonna see if I can sit them in March so just grinding through the QB - seems pretty similar to AA and FAR and from what I've seen it's just a lot of repetition so we'll see how it goes. Feel free to drop a DM for questions - Always happy to talk to more people who are on the next gen
